Even in last year’s abbreviated fall season, Woods netted 26 goals, helping the squad to the Section VI Class A-2 final. He was an All-Western New York first-team pick. … Hamburg’s Brady Reinagel Brady Reinagel F Hamburg | 2022 NY was an All-Western New York Large School honoree, while Allegany-Limestone’s Chance LaCroix Chance LaCroix D Allegany-Limestone | 2022 NY earned the corresponding Small School honors.

MIDFIELDERS: Kevin Sugg Kevin Sugg M Williamsville North | 2022 NY of Williamsville North led the team with eight goals and four assists one year ago. The All-Western New York first-team pick plays attacking mid and is the area’s top returning midfielder. … Billy Freeburg Billy Freeburg M Williamsville South | 2022 NY was an All-Western New York Large School honoree after helping the team to a 14-1-1 season and a second straight Class A-2 sectional title. Euan Reynolds Euan Reynolds M East Aurora | 2022 NY of East Aurora and McKay Young McKay Young M Southwestern | 2022 NY won the comparable Small School honors.

DEFENDERS: Alex Kompson Alex Kompson D Nichols School | 2022 NY of Nichols School collected the highest 2020 state honors among the returning Buffalo area players. The senior was the Monsignor Martin League Defensive Player of the Year after helping Nichols to the league title and he received Small School all-state first-team honors. Kompson anchored a defense that allowed only seven goals in 13 matches. … Thomas Dimillo Thomas Dimillo D Lockport | 2023 NY and Stephen Haven III Stephen Haven III D Cheektowaga | 2023 NY , both juniors this year, were All-Western New York Large School selections last fall.

GOALKEEPER: Jack Root Jack Root GK Williamsville East | 2022 NY of Williamsville East is coming off a season where he posted 12 shutouts during a 14-win season with a 0.38 GAA. He was an All-Western New York first-team selection. Williamsville East shared the Class A-1 title with a scoreless draw against Grand Island in the final to finish 14-0-2.
