With the season now in its second month in Indiana, it is time to take a look at some of the state’s top goal scoring threats in the Class of 2022. The class is headlined by three players who have received a ton of interest and have the potential to be stars at the next level. The three prospects that we will evaluate today have been lighting up the scoreboard in their final high school seasons. All three will be looking for even bigger things heading into the fall. These three student-athletes can be the centerpiece of college programs in the years to come.

[player_tooltip player_id="22252" first="Amelia" last="White"] is back at Homestead for her senior season. She has already gotten herself onto the U.S. Women’s National Team’s radar and she is a part of their academy system. White has committed to Penn State and her talent suggests that she could be a great player in Happy Valley. White has mustered 11 goals in six games for the Spartans this season. She applies constant pressure. White has fired 28 shots this season. Demonstrating her accuracy and efficiency is the fact that 19 of those shots have been on target. [player_tooltip player_id="22252" first="Amelia" last="White"] is an outstanding prospect who American soccer fans are likely to be hearing a lot more from in the years to come.
[player_tooltip player_id="22321" first="Jenna" last="Lang"], Columbus North
Michigan commit [player_tooltip player_id="22321" first="Jenna" last="Lang"] is off to an impressive start to her senior year. Lang has produced 15 goals so far for Columbus North. She also has provided four assists and is on pace for a huge campaign. Her film shows why she is heading to Ann Arbor. She loves to challenge defenders and she frequently beats one or more defenders. She is very good with the ball at her feet. In front of goal, Lang is terrific. She keeps her composure and knows how to apply the finishing touch. Lang consistently gets herself into great positions. On top of what she does in open play, Lang can also be a good free kick taker. [player_tooltip player_id="22321" first="Jenna" last="Lang"] plays with positivity and aggression, two traits needed from an elite forward.
[player_tooltip player_id="22237" first="Addie" last="Chester"], Delta
While the first two prospects on this list are destined for the Big Ten next year, Delta’s [player_tooltip player_id="22237" first="Addie" last="Chester"] will be taking her talents to the ACC. The Louisville commit has posted an astonishing 31 goals in just seven matches so far in 2021. Her goals per game average of 4.4 is unreal. Chester has also shown a great ability to set up her teammates as she has four assists on the season. Chester is a constant threat in front of goal. Her pure goal scoring ability has made her a must have prospect. Early and often in her time at Louisville, I can see her being a nightmare for defenders at the next level.
