Throughout the season, PrepSoccer.net will focus on the top candidates for the PrepSoccer All-America honors. Today, we check out the leading boys forward candidates for fall-playing states. There will be additional players added to the Watch List in the upcoming weeks. Also, it’s important to note, some players toggle between midfield and forward and might be listed under the midfielders in this go-around. From match observation and coach recommendations, here are some names to know:
TOP ALL-AMERICA CANDIDATES

(in alphabetical order)
[player_tooltip player_id="11359" first="Palmer" last="Ault"], Noblesville (Ind.), Sr., Butler Ault is an attacking player who can be up top or in the midfield. So far this season the Butler commit has 23 goals and 18 assists as Noblesville has built an 18-1-1 season. [player_tooltip player_id="11249" first="Sebastian" last="Carranza"], St. Charles East (Ill.), Sr. The talented striker was an all-state performer as a sophomore, played an abbreviated junior season and now has St. Charles East in the midst of a 15-win season this year. [player_tooltip player_id="15066" first="Anthony" last="DiFalco"], Franklin Regional (Pa.), Sr. One of the most dangerous finishers in recent Pennsylvania history, this Division I prospect is spending a little more time as set-up man this year under a new coach and new system. DiFalco has more than 100 career goals, but this year he has more than 25 assists in his new position. It’s added up to another successful season for Franklin Regional, which enters postseason play with a 13-3 record. [player_tooltip player_id="32326" first="Liam" last="Doyle"], Northwood School (N.Y.), Sr., Stanford Another forward-midfield prospect who was a standout at the NXT LVL Invitational, where he scored the lone goal in Northwood’s 1-0 win over Williston Northampton in a clash of elite prep programs. [player_tooltip player_id="18490" first="Mitchell" last="Dryden"], Whitefish Bay (Wis.), Sr. Touted as a Wisconsin Player of the Year candidate in the preseason, Dryden has delivered. As Whitefish Bay enters postseason play, Dryden has 21 goals and 14 assists. [player_tooltip player_id="11758" first="Kristian" last="Fletcher"], Landon School (Md.), Jr. He’s the PrepSoccer.net No. 1 prospect for Maryland Class of 2023 -- but it appears we won’t see him on the high school level following this season. Fletcher has a trial with Manchester United in November and has a contract offer that he is likely to sign with Borussia Dortmund in Germany later in the fall. His impact on Landon has been significant. The team was 1-2 to start the season without him in the lineup. Since he returned, Landon has responded with a 12-match undefeated streak has it heads into the last two weeks of regular season play and Fletcher has 17 goals and eight assists. [player_tooltip player_id="18528" first="Ransford" last="Gyan"], St. Benedict’s Prep (N.J.), So. Gyan is an exceptional talent with amazing quickness. Despite his small stature, he comes up big every time St. Benedict’s needs a goal. He scored twice in a win over Haverford and again in a decision over Delbarton as the Gray Bees swept the Delbarton Invitational. [player_tooltip player_id="11370" first="Spencer" last="Holland"], Noblesville (Ind.), Sr., IUPUI Noblesville has plenty of firepower this year with its top two attacking players committed to Division I programs. Holland has 17 goals and six assists as Noblesville is sitting at 18-1-1 while entering the state semifinals. [player_tooltip player_id="12906" first="Daniel" last="Ittycheria"], Pingry School (N.J.), Sr. This NCAA Division I prospect has been the key to Pingry’s success in 2021. Ittycheria has 15 goals and 10 assists as Pingry is off to a 15-0 start. [player_tooltip player_id="33767" first="Hakim" last="Karamoko"], Martin Luther King (N.Y.), Jr. Karamoko has been scoring in bunches for MLK as this team basically cruises through its league schedule. Karamoko is coming off a year where he was named to the ECNL U16 All-America team. In 10 matches played, he has scored nearly 20 goals. Allesandro Lancia, St. Andrew’s (R.I.), Sr. The native of Italy has found his way to the U.S. and has helped St. Andrew’s turn into a strong prep school program. He scored four goals in two matches at the NXT LVL Invitational. [player_tooltip player_id="9427" first="Oliver" last="Martin"], Loomis Chaffee (Conn.), Sr., Michigan Martin is one of the best high school finishers in the nation. His talents were on full display earlier this week when he scored a hat trick in only seven minutes during Loomis Chaffee’s win over Deerfield Academy. He has three hat tricks and 12 goals this season as Loomis is off to a 7-2-2 start. [player_tooltip player_id="31185" first="Sam" last="Montalto"], Stonington (Conn.), Sr., Providence Montalto already was the school’s all-time leading scorer in his junior year. Now, he’s just distancing himself from the pack. He netted 25 goals in 12 matches last season and he is averaging more than a goal a match this season. In fact, he had three goals and two assists in the past week, and he’s helped Stonington to an 11-1 start. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound striker has a college soccer forward build and had plenty of offers before picking Providence. [player_tooltip player_id="29182" first="Jacob" last="Murrell"], McDonogh School (Md.), Sr., Georgetown Murrell is making a pretty compelling case for Fall National Player of the Year. The Georgetown commit has 29 goals and 15 assists while leading McDonogh to a 17-2 record in what is the strongest high school soccer conference in the country. He scored three goals while helping a club team to second place at the Capelli Sport Cup in Denmark right before the high school season started. [player_tooltip player_id="14738" first="Zsombor" last="Onodi"], St. Ignatius (Ohio), Jr. Onodi had to pass on a trial in Europe due to COVID restrictions right before the high school season started. He’s making up for that lost opportunity by simply dominating on the high school scene. Onodi has a team-best 22 goals for a 16-0 S. Ignatius squad, but what might be more impressive is his tied-for-team-best 12 assists. [player_tooltip player_id="29208" first="Antonino" last="Pagano"], Fayetteville-Manlius (N.Y.), Sr., Syracuse His older brother was a standout scorer and All-America candidate who is now at Syracuse. Now, it’s Antonino’s turn. He has scored 31 goals as the Hornets are off to a 15-0-1 start. Factoring in his eight assists, and he has been directly involved (goal or assist) in exactly two-thirds of the team’s scoring this year. [player_tooltip player_id="32196" first="Calem" last="Tommy"], Northwood School (N.Y.), Sr., NC State The NC State commit has explosive speed, which was on display at the NXT LVL Invitational when he blew past two defenders and scored the first goal in the first minute on the team’s eventual 2-0 win over Phillips Exeter. [player_tooltip player_id="13108" first="Nate" last="Zimmermann"], Delbarton School (N.J.), Jr. Rostered as a midfielder, Zimmermann usually can be found on the right wing attacking goal. His speed, his technical skill are reasons why he is considered one of the top prospects in the East for the Class of 2023. Also Emir Cekic, Shenendehowa (N.Y.), Sr. [player_tooltip player_id="29223" first="Tanner" last="Creech"], St. Xavier (Ohio), Sr., Ohio State [player_tooltip player_id="29204" first="Ryan" last="Donovan"], Delbarton School (N.J.), Sr., Holy Cross [player_tooltip player_id="29232" first="Sam" last="Farner"], Shady Side Academy (Pa.), Sr., Liberty [player_tooltip player_id="12646" first="Karson" last="Gibbs"], Fort Zumwalt South (Mo.), Sr. [player_tooltip player_id="12815" first="Aidan" last="Grant"], Delbarton School (N.J.), Sr., Bucknell [player_tooltip player_id="32823" first="Ben" last="Grimm"], Whitefish Bay (Wis.), Sr. [player_tooltip player_id="8982" first="Cyrus" last="Gulati"], Cherry Creek (Colo.), Sr. [player_tooltip player_id="18526" first="Matheus" last="Lucas"], St. Benedict’s (N.J.), Jr. [player_tooltip player_id="13729" first="Milton" last="Mancias-Magana"], Mamaroneck (N.Y.), Sr. Mohammed Nunu, Hotchkiss School (Conn.), Jr. Henry Perkins, Northfield Mount Hermon (Mass.), Sr., Tufts [player_tooltip player_id="13574" first="George" last="Popovic"], Yorktown (N.Y.), Sr. Gavin Randolph, Milton Academy (Mass.), Sr., Middlebury Luke Randolph, Milton Academy (Mass.), Sr., Tufts [player_tooltip player_id="14630" first="Josip" last="Rimac"], St. Ignatius (Ohio), Sr. Stephen Saladin, St. Louis Univerity High (Mo.), Sr. [player_tooltip player_id="18515" first="Valentin" last="Sandoval"], Marquette (Wis.), Sr. Nana Tuffour, Avon Old Farms (Conn.), Jr. [player_tooltip player_id="18524" first="Peter" last="Yaro"], St. Benedict’s Prep (N.J.), Sr. Ethan Young, St. Thomas Aquinas (Kan.), Jr.
