Great River: Standouts from the Midwest showcase

Offense seemed to win the day as most of the 25 players named to the Great River Classic standouts were in attacking roles. This list includes only one NCAA Division I committed player, but several other college prospects.
F Tanner Anderson, Quince Notre Dame (Ill.), Jr. – Scored four goals on the weekend and at least one in each game. A high-level Division I prospect. His older brother is a forward for Saint Louis University.
M Marco Antonio, Mount Carmel (Ill.), Sr. – Central midfielder who controls every aspect of the game.
F Max Aquino, Berwyn/Cicero Morton (Ill.), So. – He had three goals and one assist on the weekend. Netted the game-winner against Gateway Legacy.
M Alex Barger Alex Barger M Naperville North | 2023 State #46 Nation IL , Naperville North (Ill.), Jr. – Indiana recruit had two goals and two assists on the weekend.
M Devin Beaty, Normal West (Ill.), Sr. – Scored two goals.
F Easton Bradstreet, Washburn Rural (Kan.), Jr. – Scored four goals and an assist in three games. Scored the game-winning goal against Normal Community and an important goal right before the half vs Quincy Notre Dame.
D Jacob Davis, Normal West (Ill.), Sr.
M Braden Demotte Morton (Ill.) – He had three goals and two assists for Morton, which went 3-0 against Quincy, Lake Forest, and Glenwood. He is a senior defensive mid and helped solidify the mid from 18 to 18.
GK CJ Deslongchamps CJ Deslongchamps GK Marquette | 2023 WI , Marquette (Wis.), Jr. – Two shutouts and numerous big saves in leading his team to the championship.
M Bradley Doellman, Normal Community (Ill.), Sr.
GK Declan Finnegan, Wheaton Academy (Ill.), Jr. – Goalkeeper made huge saves all weekend including stopping two penalty kicks in a shootout victory over Althoff Catholic.
M Miguel Gonzalez Miguel Gonzalez M Marquette | 2022 WI , Marquette (Wis.), Sr. – Scored the game-winning goals in the semifinals and final. He also had an assist in the final while controlling the center mid position
M Adam Hammock, Evanston (Ill.) – Had two goals and five assists during the event.
M Barrett Kitts, St. Thomas Aquinas (Kan.), Jr. – The defender recorded five assists and received the Naperville North Award after their game.
M Jason Khoury, Dunlap (Ill.), Sr. – Had one goal and five assists.
M Christian Leon, Mount Carmel (Ill.), Sr. – Central midfielder who controls every aspect of the game.
F Sebastian Leon, Evanston (Ill.) – He scored three goals.
F Pedro Lucas, Gateway Legacy (Mo.), Sr. – Scored multiple goals and was instrumental in comeback against Morton when down 3-0.
F Nick Manger, Marquette (Wis.), Sr. – Scored three goals on the weekend
D Joel McIntyre, Peoria Notre Dame (Ill.), Jr. – An ODP region player who moved to the defense prior to the weekend. He helped start the attack and kept the team organized.
M Jonathan Murillo, Berwyn/Cicero Morton (Ill.), Sr. – Two goals while controlling the midfield
M Jake Pollock, Althoff Catholic (Ill.), Jr.
M Porter Schafersman, Washburn Rural (Kan.), Sr. – Had two goals and three assists. He scored the game-winner against Quincy Norte Dame.
F Drew Wisdom, Dunlap (Ill.), Sr. – Scored three goals.
F Ethan Young, St. Thomas Aquinas (Kan.), Jr. – Had four goals on the weekend and at least one in each game. He’s a dynamic forward on the verge of breaking out.
