As noted during the original release of the PrepSoccer.net All-America Watch List, we would make periodic updates. Today, we add 10 more boys players. Now, not to be confused for the All-America Game, which the rosters were released two weeks ago, this All-America Watch List is for the postseason honors that will be awarded by PrepSoccer.com. While only 24 of the players from the full list below will make first- or second-team All-America honors, many of the listed players will make one of the eight 11-player All-Region teams.
Today’s additions are:
<p class="p2"><span class="s1"><strong>M Carlos Camacho, Borah (Idaho), Sr</strong>.</span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">Camacho was selected as the SIC Class 5A Player of the Year in Idaho, and that honor usually equates to the player being selected as the state’s player of the year. Camacho led Borah to a 16-3-2 record.</span></p>
<p class="p2"><strong><span class="s1">F Bryce Cherry, Amityville (N.Y.), Sr.</span></strong></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">Amityville lost a one-sided match to Somers in the New York A state final, but Cherry certainly delivered. He scored both goals in the 7-2 state final setback. More importantly, he had four goals and one assist in the team’s 6-0 win in the Long Island final to get the team heading toward the state final. He finished with 19 goals and seven assists.</span></p>
<p class="p2"><strong><span class="s1">M Daniel D’Ippolito, Somers (N.Y.), Sr.</span></strong></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">D’Ippolito had two goals and three assists in a wild 7-2 state final victory, a win that earned Somers the top ranking among the NYSPHSAA teams. D’Ippolito finished with 36 goals and 38 assists as Somers rolled up a 22-1 season. </span></p>
<p class="p2"><strong><span class="s1">F Alex Grignon, Summit (Ore.), Sr.</span></strong></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">The senior delivered 25 goals and 11 assists while leading Summit to a 17-0-1 record and a Class 6A state title.</span></p>
<p class="p2"><strong><span class="s1">F Mosies Inda, Northfield (Colo.), Sr.</span></strong></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">Inda’s 24th goal of the season proved to be the difference as Northfield edged Mullen 1-0 in the state final. Inda was the team’s leader in goals and second in assists as Northfield went 20-0. </span></p>
<p class="p2"><strong><span class="s1">M Aidan Lodie, West Islip (N.Y.), Jr.</span></strong></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">Lodie proved to be “Mr. Clutch” for West Islip as the team rolled to a 5-0 win over Hilton Central in the Class AA state title. Lodie had a goal and assist in the final and finished the year with seven game-winning goals and five game-winning assists.</span></p>
<p class="p2"><strong><span class="s1">D [player_tooltip player_id="32260" first="Bryant" last="Mayer"], McDonogh School (Md.), Jr., Northwestern</span></strong></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">Already a Northwestern commit, Mayer was a key player for McDonogh’s 21-3, MIAA A Conference runner-up squad. </span></p>
<p class="p2"><strong><span class="s1">F [player_tooltip player_id="11834" first="Richard" last="Monath"], Calvert Hall (Md.), Jr.</span></strong></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">Monath capped a breakout season by scoring both goals in Calvert Hall’s MIAA A Conference title win over McDonogh in a clash of nationally ranked teams. </span></p>
<p class="p2"><strong><span class="s1">M [player_tooltip player_id="13009" first="Joaquin" last="Niehenke"], Seton Hall Prep (N.J.), Jr.</span></strong></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">The junior who was identified as one of the team’s top prospects in the preseason ended up leading the team in scoring. Niehenke finished with 11 goals and 13 assists as Seton Hall prep went 20-0-1 and won the Non-Public A state title to finish with a FAB 50 Top 5 final ranking.</span></p>
<p class="p2"><strong><span class="s1">F/M Nathan Prex, Seneca Valley (Pa.), Sr.</span></strong></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">Prex scored on a free kick in the state semifinals to send Seneca Valley to Saturday’s Class 4A state final. Seneca Valley is attempting to repeat as state champion. Prex, meanwhile, already has scored a school-record 38 goals this season, including six in the playoffs.</span></p>
