All-America Watch List: Girls Additions (11/29)

As noted during the original release of the PrepSoccer.net All-America Watch List, we would make periodic updates. Today, we add 10 more girls players. Now, not to be confused for the All-America Game, which the rosters were released in previous weeks, this All-America Watch List is for the postseason honors that will be awarded by PrepSoccer.com. While only 24 of the players from the full list below will make first- or second-team All-America honors, many of the listed players will make one of the eight 11-player All-Region teams.
Today’s additions are:
<strong>F [player_tooltip player_id="22816" first="Brooke" last="Ahern"], Lawrence Academy (Mass.), Sr., Utah</strong>
Ahern led all goalscorers in the ISL, netting 13 goals against some of the best prep school competition in the country. Her league stats were 13 goals and nine assists in 12 league matches as Lawrence Academy finished as league runner-up to Prep No. 1 Buckingham Browne & Nichols (Mass.).
<strong>M [player_tooltip player_id="22310" first="Grace" last="Bamber"], Chesterton (Ind.), Jr.</strong>
Bamber was named the NWI Times Player of the Year. An FC Pride club player, Bamber scored 20 goals and added 12 assists for Chesterton, which went 13-3-2.
<strong>F [player_tooltip player_id="33210" first="Krystal" last="Haertter"], Wilkes Barre Area (Pa.), Sr., Iona</strong>
Haertter was named the Wilkes Barre Citizens’ Voice Player of the Year over the weekend. The Pennsylvania all-state performer and Iona signee netted 30 goals.
<strong>F [player_tooltip player_id="26195" first="Allison" last="Hansford"], McMinn County (Tenn.), Sr., Liberty</strong>
Hansford netted 42 goals and had 17 assists en route to being named the District 5-AAA and Region 3-AAA MVP. She helped McMinn County to the state quarterfinals.
<strong>D [player_tooltip player_id="33229" first="Gwen" last="Howell"], Mars (Pa.), Sr., Richmond</strong>
Howell was the anchor of a defense that led Mars to a third straight undefeated season and third straight state title. Mars allowed only four goals during its 20-0-1 showing in 2021.
<strong>M [player_tooltip player_id="33226" first="Lisa" last="McIntyre"], Springside Chestnut Hill (Pa.), Jr.</strong>
The U.S. U17 Youth National Team player pool member was named Inter-Ac MVP while leading Springside Chestnut Hill to a league and state title, along with a FAB 50 Top 10 final finish. McIntyre ended the season with 17 goals and five assists as SCH posted an 18-0-1 record. SCH has a 41-2-1 record since her freshman year, and the team has not lost since the 2019 season.
<strong>M Maya Parman, Camas (Wash.), Sr., Seattle Pacific</strong>
Parman was named 4A Greater St. Helens League Player of the Year. In the team’s state final shootout win, Parman converted her attempt. Her defensive work in the midfield was key to Camas’ 22-0 season. She finished with seven goals and nine assists.
<strong>M [player_tooltip player_id="25883" first="Lauren" last="Sullivan"], Springside Chestnut Hill (Pa.), Sr.</strong>
Sullivan was named to the first-team Inter-Ac All-League squad and the was No. 2 vote-getter behind teammate [player_tooltip player_id="33226" first="Lisa" last="McIntyre"]. She will soon be verbally committing to an NCAA Division I program.
<strong>M [player_tooltip player_id="22878" first="Francesca" last="Valverde"], Buckingham Browne & Nichols (Mass.), Jr.</strong>
One of the top national club players in her age group, she was a bit overshadowed by a big-time senior class at BB&N. However, this junior standout led all ISL players in assists — 10 in 12 matches. Of course, she had the benefit of serving up the likes of Michigan signee [player_tooltip player_id="29352" first="Sam" last="Suplee"] and Virginia signee [player_tooltip player_id="22955" first="Meredith" last="McDermott"], BB&N’s forwards this season. Valverde might be pushed into more of a goalscoring role next fall.
<strong>GK [player_tooltip player_id="28265" first="Keely" last="Wieczorek"], Camas (Wash.), Jr.</strong>
Wieczorek, a first-team 4A Greater St. Helens League selection, came up with two saves in the shootout to lead Camas to a state final victory of Issaquah. Wieczorekplays ECNL for Crossfire United.
