Grayslake Central (14-6-2) vs Triad (24-0-1)
Triad has yet to play a team from the Chicago area this season. Triad is 24-0-1 and riding a 23-match win streak. Five players on this squad have scored at least 13 goals this season, and the defense has yet to concede a goal this postseason. Similarly, Grayslake Central has only conceded one goal in the playoffs. The Rams also just pulled off a big 1-0 upset over top-seed Notre Dame. The strength of opponents will come into play here. But this will be a close one.
Score Prediction: Grayslake Central 0, Triad 0 – Grayslake Central advances on PKs
Chicago Washington (18-4-2) vs. Rockford Boylan (25-1)
Boylan has won 25 in a row. Bryan Sanchez has been a goal-scoring machine with about 25 goals this season and is really starting to heat up. Boylan has beaten some of the toughest teams in Illinois already. Expect Boylan to cruise in this one against a Washington team that had a much easier road to state.
Score Prediction: Boylan 5, Washington 0
State Championship Prediction: Boylan 3, Grayslake Central 0
