Kennedy Garcia Kennedy Garcia null | F Rancocas Valley (NJ) | 2023 State NJ , Rancocas Valley, Jr., Forward
Touted as one of the best players in South Jersey, Garcia has played a pivotal role in RV’s run this tournament. Netting a goal and providing three assists, the shifty playmaker uses her gifted skill to provide her teammate’s goals out of nothing. She has a special way of spreading the field and is able to be creative all throughout the match, making herself a focal point for one of the best team’s in the area. Garcia is a special talent to keep an eye on going into her senior year.
Ava Racobaldo, Bishop Eustace, Sr., Goalkeeper
With one of the most impressive performances in this tournament, Racobaldo saved everything that came her way and led the 13th seed Bishop Eustace to the final with an impressive 35 saves and two shutouts, including a crucial penalty shootout win. The senior goalkeeper used her aggressiveness out of the net to end any danger coming her way. An outstanding athlete, her quick reactions saved Eustace all tournament long and proved her worth as one of the best goalies in South Jersey.
Summer Reimet Summer Reimet F NJ , Ocean City, Sr., Forward
One of the most dangerous attackers in New Jersey and arguably the Player of the Tournament, Reimet led Ocean City to its first-ever Coaches Tournament win, netting an electric nine goals in four games. A pure striker that has all the attributes, the senior forward uses her strength to beat defenders, while having great control on the ball. Netting two goals in the semifinals and final respectively, Reimet put on a show in a high-power tournament.
Allie Serlenga Allie Serlenga F Bishop Eustace Preparatory | 2024 State #206 Nation NJ , Bishop Eustace, Soph., Forward
A force for opposing defenses, Serelenga impressed with her three goals and three assists in her spectacular tournament showing. Finding the open space looks to be her specialty since she is able to contribute in both aspects of the attack at any moment, pushing her Eustace side to their first Coaches Tournament final since 2006. As only a sophomore, she has been able to lead her squad through a tough road this tournament and proves to be a player that teams need to look out for in the future.
Hope Slimmer, Ocean City, Sr., Midfield
An electric midfielder, Slimmer was all over the field for Ocean City and controlled the tempo for a high-powered side. The definition of a playmaker, she is quick on her feet, has quick decision-making, and fantastic vision to pinpoint passes at any point in the match. With two goals and five assists through four games, the senior demonstrated her dual-threat ability all tournament long.
Eva Sprewell, Eastern, Soph., Defender
Anchoring one of the best defenses in South Jersey, the sophomore defender continued her stellar play all throughout this tournament. The two-sport athlete uses her track speed to keep up with any player she comes up against and has the in-game mentality needed to excel in the defensive position. With skill on and off the ball, Sprewell added an assist and a shutout to her resume, showing how she can impactful not only on the defensive side of the game but offensively as well.
Tori Vilet, Ocean City, Jr., Goalkeeper
A true goal stopper, Vilet put on a show this tournament, churning out 31 saves to go along with her 2 shutouts to lead Ocean City to glory. The junior goalie understands when to be aggressive out of the net and uses her fast reflexes to be the rock of Ocean City’s backline. Combining her pure instincts and impressive skills as a keeper that can’t be taught, Vilet will continue to shine throughout South Jersey if she puts up performances like he did this past week.
