FINAL: Oregon 3, Whitefish Bay 1
In the championship, Whitefish Bay surrendered another early goal, similar to its state semifinal contest. But Mitchell Dryden Mitchell Dryden F Whitefish Bay | 2022 WI responded in the 15th minute to tie it at 1. It wasn’t until Oregon junior Noah Malook scored twice in the second half that Oregon could clinch the state title for the Panthers and finish 22-0-3. The win marked Oregon’s third state title in 10 years and first since 2018.
SEMIFINAL REWIND
Oregon 2, River Falls 0: Carter Uhlmann came off the bench to score in the 23rd minute. Christian Writz doubled the lead 14 minutes later. River Falls goalkeeper Remy Espanet made 10 saves in the match.
Whitefish Bay 3, Brookfield Central 2: Brookfield Central senior Gabe Thistle scored the game’s first goal eight minutes in. But Whitefish Bay junior Henry Triggs tied the game five minutes later. Bay phenom Mitchell Dryden Mitchell Dryden F Whitefish Bay | 2022 WI scored the next two goals for his team and it proved to be the difference maker.
