Kentucky prospect commits to Bellarmine
St. Xavier (Ky.) senior defender [player_tooltip player_id="11485" first="Jeffrey" last="Cox"] announced that he has committed to Bellarmine University.
Cox was named first-team all-state in 2020 as a junior while helping St. Xavier to a state title. This past season, he was named second-team all-state. Coming off an ACL injury, Cox helped St. Xavier to the 7th Region final for the seventh straight season. He tallied six goals and had one assist during the 2021 season.
Cox joins Lexington Catholic defender [player_tooltip player_id="29175" first="Bennett" last="Kirn"] as part of Bellarmine’s incoming freshman class.
Bellarmine finished 7-8-2 and reached the ASUN conference semifinals in 2021.
