Kentucky high school senior signs professional contract
Woodford County senior defender [player_tooltip player_id="37081" first="Owen" last="Damm"] announced on Tuesday that he has signed a professional contract with Louisville City that also includes an academic scholarship.
Damm is coming off a solid fall season at Woodford County where he led his team in scoring with 48 goals in 19 games. He ranked third in the state in scoring. During his high school career, Damn was a three-time member of the Kentucky All-State team. He also led his team to the 8th Region final in 2020.
Damm will be doing online college courses through Bellevue University, a Nebraska institution that has a partnership with League One Soccer club Union Omaha.
Damm is the fourth member of Louisville City Academy who has signed a pro deal. He joins fellow Kentucky teammates Elijah Wynder (Louisville Collegiate), Josh Wynder (Louisville Collegiate), and Carlos Moguel Jr. (Collins).
Louisville City finished the 2021 season at 18-7-7 and made an appearance in the Eastern Conference final.
