The winter season has started in the Southeast, and the Southwest states of Arizona and California start play this week. Each week throughout December and January, we will add an additional 10 or more players to the PrepSoccer.net Winter All-America Watch List.
Here are the next 10 to start the season:
<p class="p2"><span class="s1"><b>M [player_tooltip player_id="11557" first="Axel" last="Agurcia"], Denham Springs (La.), Sr.</b></span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">He’s being touted as the top field player in Louisiana this school year. It’s easy to understand why. A native of Honduras, whose family moved to the U.S. when he was 10, is coming off a 30-plus goal season where he was The Advocate All-Met MVP last year.</span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1"><b>GK [player_tooltip player_id="37117" first="Rhett" last="DeBlieux"], Baton Rouge Catholic (La.), Jr.</b></span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">Already a multi-time all-state performer, DeBlieux is tabbed as the state’s top goalkeeper prospect. He’s a member of the successful Baton Rouge SC 04 Black club team.</span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1"><b>M Ryan Greener, Frisco Wakeland (Texas), Sr.</b></span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">Greener scored 12 goals and had nine assists. He’s a projected returner for a loaded squad that will make a run at a state title and possibly a FAB 50 No. 1 finish.</span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1"><b>F/M Rider Holcomb, University Lab (La.), Sr., VMI</b></span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">The VMI signee is coming off an all-state showing in the 2020-2021 season. </span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1"><b>F Antonio Mancinotti, Mandarin (Fla.), Jr.</b></span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">Mancinotti has scored 21 goals in Mandarin’s first 10 matches, helping the team to a 9-1 start. His play has helped Mandarin to the top of the local boys soccer rankings and to a spot in this week’s Florida-North region rankings.</span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1"><b>M Daniel Osorio, Colleyville Heritage (Texas), Sr.</b></span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">Osorio was a first-team all-state selection last year after winning district midfielder of the year honors. He scored 10 goals.</span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1"><b>GK Jacob Ramirez, Mansfield Summit (Texas), Sr.</b></span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">Ramirez recorded 13 shutouts during the 2021 season and had a GAA of 0.74.</span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1"><b>M Cooper Tea, Sachse (Texas), Jr.</b></span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">Tea was named the Dallas Morning News Newcomer of the Year in 2021 following a 15-goal, seven-assist season.</span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1"><b>D Cristian Torres, John Paul II (Texas), Sr.</b></span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">Torres earned second-team Dallas Morning News accolades last year as an offensive-minded defender. He ended the season with seven goals and sevens assists while still earning district defensive MVPS honors.</span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1"><b>F Jaxson Turley, Lake Ridge (Texas), Jr.</b></span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s1">Turley was the district’s Offensive Player of the Year last season after scoring 24 goals.</span></p>
