ECNL Florida: U16 Top Performers from the Ohio Valley

Players from throughout the Ohio Valley Conference traveled to Lakewood Ranch, Fla., for the latest ECNL Showcase. The weather was hot and so was the action on the field. With hundreds of college coaches in attendance, here are the top players who stood out:
<strong>F Breece Bass (FC Pride) - </strong>Was strong to the net vs. Charlotte Independence Soccer Club and finished with a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win.
<strong>GK [player_tooltip player_id="22410" first="Taylor" last="Beard"] (Indiana Fire) -</strong> Handled heavy pressure in the second half against Florida Kraze Krush making key saves while preserving the 0-0 tie.
<strong>F [player_tooltip player_id="26231" first="Gracyn" last="Becker"] (Tennessee Soccer Club) -</strong> scored the game-winner vs Florida Kraze Krush by ripping a great shot from a tight angle to the far post.
<strong>Defenders [player_tooltip player_id="22275" first="Catherine" last="Cline"], Clare Simmonds, [player_tooltip player_id="22388" first="Rowan" last="Pearl"], and [player_tooltip player_id="22391" first="Rylie" last="Wilpolt"] (Indiana Fire) -</strong> The four defenders dug in and stood tall in a 1-0 victory of FC Stars White.
<strong>M [player_tooltip player_id="26180" first="Abigail" last="Dibble"] (Tennessee Soccer Club) - </strong>was rewarded for defensive hard work by collecting a loose clearance from the Match Fit Academy GK and scored from 30 yards out.
<strong>M Arie Edwards (Indiana Fire) -</strong> covered a lot of ground and disrupted her opponents' possession in a new role as a defensive mid.
<strong>M Ali Fletcher (Tennessee Soccer Club) -</strong> was a constant danger with her driving runs at the Match Fit Academy back four.
<strong>F [player_tooltip player_id="22368" first="Megan" last="Hamm"] (Indiana Fire) - </strong>stepped up and netted the game-winner for a 2-1 victory vs FC Wisconsin.
<strong>M Madeline Hill (Tennessee Soccer Club) - </strong>managed the midfield by pressuring and tracking FC Delco players while making vital interceptions and tackles.
<strong>GKs <a href="https://prepsoccer.com/player/olivia-hill/">[player_tooltip player_id="37998" first="Olivia" last="Hill"]</a> and Sophia Sulwaske (FC Pride) - </strong>combined for the shutout against United Futbol Academy. Both keepers came up big in this game.
<strong>D [player_tooltip player_id="26243" first="Josie" last="Holt"] (Tennessee Soccer Club) -</strong> was a constant threat on the left flank by breaking into the midfield from left back at every opportunity she had against FC Delco.
<strong>D Libby Lewis (Indiana Fire) -</strong> stepped up defensively helping Indiana Fire defeat FC Wisconsin 2-1.
<strong>Defenders Scottie Newton and [player_tooltip player_id="26297" first="Wynne" last="Braemer"] (Tennessee Soccer Club)-</strong> were outstanding in the game against Florida Kraze Krush, clearing every header, blocking shots, and denying forwards the chance to score.
<strong>F Sienna Mullens (FC Pride) -</strong> provided the spark offensively for FC Pride vs Gretna Elite Academy in a game that provided many chances.
<strong>Defenders Kylie Smith and Sarah Edmonds (FC Pride) - </strong>were mainstays in the center of defense to organize the shutout vs United Futbol Academy.
<strong>F [player_tooltip player_id="22324" first="Josie" last="Studley"] (Indiana Fire) -</strong> blasted a 35 yard shot for the game-winner vs FC Stars White.
