The winter season is starting to wind down and league all-star announcements are about to begin. In the meantime, we’re eying up who are the frontrunners for the 24-player Winter All-America team and the 88-play All-Region squads. Today, we feature some of the new additions.
M [player_tooltip player_id="8015" first="Justin" last="Conyers"], Moorpark (Calif.), Sr.
The UC Irvine commit has delivered 15 assists this season as Moorpark is heading deeper into postseason play with a 17-1 record.
F Jack Earle, Live Oak (La.), Sr.
We like to find players who have flown under the radar, and one might be Earle, who just wrapped up his high school career in Louisiana. He was the District 4-II Player of the Year last year and is likely to repeat in 2022 following a career that included 85 goals scored. He has committed to Mississippi College.
D [player_tooltip player_id="8016" first="Justin" last="Faison"], Servite (Calif.), Sr.
Faison plays a key role in a Servite squad that is ranked No. 1 in California and in the Top 10 nationally. Servite’s defense has helped the squad to a 13-match undefeated run entering this Friday’s playoff match.
M [player_tooltip player_id="8518" first="Reid" last="Fisher"], Huntington Beach (Calif.), Sr.
The San Diego State commit is a major reason why Huntington Beach is sitting at 16-2-5 and rapidly climbing in the FAB 50 rankings.
M [player_tooltip player_id="8638" first="Schuyler" last="Hoeberichts"], Tamalpais (Calif.), Sr.
This team captain is a true leader and has backed up the armband with a stellar season. At last glance, he led the competitive Marin County Athletic League in scoring with 14 goals and seven assists.
F Jerry Ramos, Moorpark (Calif.), Jr.
Moorpark is ranked among the nation’s Top 25 winter teams and some of that credit belongs to finisher Ramos. While he benefits from a high-profile playmaker, Ramos has delivered on the finishing end with 23 goals so far for this 17-1 squad.
M Kevin Romo, Richmond (Calif.), Jr.
Romo is a physical defender who will drop quickly to stop an attack but will also press forward with tremendous speed and become a goal-scoring threat.
[player_tooltip player_id="7172" first="Brandon" last="Sosa"] and [player_tooltip player_id="8012" first="Justin" last="Sosa"], Agoura (Calif.)
The Sosa brothers are tearing it up as undefeated Agoura continues to climb in the weekly FAB 50. Brandon, a senior forward, has 14 goals, which rates second on the team to his brother, Justin, who is a junior with 17 goals. Their collective firepower had Agoura at 13-0-5 entering the week.
