The best freshman forward in southeast Virginia. Audrey leads her ranked Great Bridge team (6-1-1) with 15 goals in eight matches and has scored in every game except one. She has incredible pace and can finish from anywhere with both feet. Beats defenders in tight spaces and has a go-to-goal mentality. Has already taken on a leadership role on her high school team. She has a 2007 birth year but plays up on her 2006 Beach FC Red team which was recently promoted from regional ECNL to the national league for 2022.
MF Ava Chuderewicz, Kellam, Class of 2024
A truly versatile footballer, Ava plays left outside back for her 2006 Beach FC red squad but moves into a more attacking outside midfield role for her No. 2 ranked Kellam high school team. Scored the first two goals in a recent 4-0 victory that I attended, she consistently beat her defender to the outside using outstanding 1 v 1 skills and unrelenting pace. Can either go to goal or whip crosses in with her powerful left foot. Plays with her twin sister Allysa in the midfield to form a formidable attacking duo.
F Joelle Hare, Nansemond River, Class of 2025
High school coach Michael Swerda has nothing but praise for her, “She not only has the work ethic and drive but also the skill and athleticism to make huge difference for every team she plays for.” Former Beach FC club coach Scott Wright also stated, “She is the ultimate team player, if you need a goal you put her up top, if you need a playmaker she can distribute and create out of the midfield, if I needed to protect a lead she was the first person I would drop back.” Scored the game-winner in a recent game by easily outpacing a defender and chasing down a loose ball, corralling it at full speed, and finishing just inside the box with her left foot past a diving keeper.
MF Alana Cunningham, Maury, Class of 2023
A student of the game, Alana has a high soccer IQ and reads the game around her. Plays one touch soccer with ease and distributes from her CDM position to get the attack started. While watching her, she was at her best while moving forward in the final third with amazing technical footwork and effortlessly dribbled through and around defenders. Not phased by the pressure of a close rivalry game. Plays center attacking midfield on her club team, VB City FC.
GK Lili White, Maury, Class of 2024
Like most good keepers she transitioned from an outfield player to keeper three years ago. Comfortable with the ball at her feet and makes solid decisions playing it out of the back. Has strong hands and is quick to make the second save when called upon. Great communications with her back line. Has played the last two years on the Virginia State ODP team and plays club soccer for Beach FC in the national ECNL league.
