F Anna Sikorski Anna Sikorski M Muskego (WI) | 2024 #94 Nation WI , Muskego, So.
New team, same Sikorski. The sophomore sensation started her season off with a bang-up in Appleton. She scored four of her team’s six goals Friday against Appleton North. In only 40 minutes of action on Saturday (weather), Sikorski scored two more goals in a 9-1 rout over Green Bay Preble. There are lots to like about her game. She’s very explosive with the ball, can use both feet, and has excellent awareness. Sikorski might be the quickest forward in Wisconsin and possibly the Midwest.
F Maggie Mattek Maggie Mattek F Muskego (WI) | 2024 WI , Muskego, So.
Mattek and Sikorski create a young, dominant 1-2 punch for Muskego for years to come. Mattek scored three goals and dished out four assists in this weekend’s games in Appleton. The 5-foot-8 forward has great size and athleticism for her position. She often outruns smaller defenders on through balls for 1v1 goal chances. She also excels at changing directions and has a powerful strike on net. While primarily playing the 9, she can also be used on the wings.
F Kate Brown Kate Brown M WI , Kenosha Bradford/Reuther, Sr.
The reigning Southeast Conference Player of the Year starts her season hot. The senior forward scored five goals and dished two assists in a 10-0 rout over Shoreland Lutheran on Tuesday night. She’s very quick with her feet and can beat defenders in 1v1 situations.
F Emily McCarthy Emily McCarthy F Kimberly (WI) | 2024 WI , Kimberly, So.
McCarthy has an excellent first touch that allows her to create plays for herself and her teammates. It’s common for her to make cutback moves while dribbling and take an open shot from around the 18. But lots of her goals come from long range. McCarthy scored four goals and got an assist in three games last week to begin her sophomore season, including a hat trick over Hortonville on March 29th.
M Maggie Thillman, Green Bay Notre Dame, Sr.
Thillman started her season off with a bang, scoring three goals and collecting three assists in her season opener against Denmark on Friday afternoon. She added another goal the following day against Lakeland in a 4-0 win. Thillman has a very powerful right foot and can score from all over the field. She also goes a great job with off-ball movement as she’s very quick into space for easy chances to score. Very strong in the midfield with good speed and lateral movement.
F Mia Lemkuil, Green Bay Notre Dame, Jr.
Lemkuil also had four goals and three assists this weekend for GB Notre Dame. The junior can play the 7, 9, or 11. She’s very quick on the wing and plays excellent crosses in the box for her teammates. She has excellent awareness to know if a defender or goalkeeper is closing down on her and makes a quick decision to pass the ball ao an open teammate or shoot.
