The PrepSoccer player rankings for the class of 2023 for Arizona were released last week. The best juniors in Arizona feature players bound for top programs via early verbal commits. The top players are linked to programs all over the country.

[player_tooltip player_id="18811" first="Millie" last="Greer"] was a first team All-Conference selection in the Southwest conference last season. The Phoenix Rising standout is an Iowa commit. She is a midfielder with quality on the ball and athleticism to contribute early on in her college career.

Two of the top talents from Arizona are [player_tooltip player_id="18654" first="Hope" last="Leyba"] and [player_tooltip player_id="44575" first="Faith" last="Leyba"]. [player_tooltip player_id="18654" first="Hope" last="Leyba"] is the attacking talent, [player_tooltip player_id="44575" first="Faith" last="Leyba"] is the star defensively. Hope is a perfect fit for the Colorado program. She wants to compete and battle for every chance. She is a finisher with any half chance. She will be the perfect target forward for the Colorado style of play. [player_tooltip player_id="44575" first="Faith" last="Leyba"] is terrific athlete with the capability to play any spot in the back four. She plays as a center back at the club level, but she can get up and down the field like an outside back. They both going to be key players at the next level.

The top goalkeeper from Arizona in the junior class is [player_tooltip player_id="18733" first="Faith" last="Luckey"], a verbal commit to Maryland. Luckey is an outstanding shot-stopper. She has the athleticism to cover the whole goal - even the top corner. She has one of the fastest reaction times on shots, even when she sees the shot late, she has a chance at making the save. Luckey has been playing up age groups for some time, and held her own against the oldest competition last season while playing with the club's U19 team. There is a surprising amount of depth in the goalkeeper position from the junior class in Arizona. [player_tooltip player_id="18671" first="Lexi" last="Saveski"] was outstanding for Perry during the high school season. She stopped nearly every shot that she faced during the run to the 6A championship game. [player_tooltip player_id="18657" first="Jennifer" last="Groves"] and [player_tooltip player_id="44608" first="Hannah" last="Uhlenhop"] are also top goalkeeper prospects from Arizona. Uhlenhop is staying in-state for her next stop as she is a verbal commit to Grand Canyon University.

[player_tooltip player_id="44605" first="Nathalie" last="Lewis"] is one of the most interesting prospects in the class. Lewis had a dominant campaign at the high school level this season. She was one of hte players that the opposition had to account for - and usually left two or three players on her to try to slow her down. She is a center forward who will run away from a defender as soon as she gets that touch into space. She has potential to add more to her game at the next level, but the starting point is very promising.

[player_tooltip player_id="44576" first="Ella" last="Rusick"] is a player to watch who could quickly climb up the rankings after the summer playoffs. Rusick plays as a wide option either at winger or outside back. She has quick feet and is good with both feet. The quick feet allows her to work out of tight situations. The ability to use either foot keeps defenders guessing as she can take the player to the endline or cut inside for a shot.

Check out the PrepSoccer rankings for the class of 2023 for Arizona.
