U.S. Soccer hosted Youth National Team Identification Centers in key markets across the country over the last few weeks. There is one upcoming in Los Angeles this week for the girls in the 2008 age group.

Southern California is hotbed for soccer talent in the U.S. The area has been in the spotlight for the last month with the success of the players at the 2022 U17 Concacaf Championship. Valerie Vargas (Beach FC), [player_tooltip player_id="19885" first="Maribel" last="Flores"] (Slammers FC HB Koge), and [player_tooltip player_id="18947" first="Onyeka" last="Gamero"] (Beach FC) are all multiple goal scorers at the event through the first four games. Vargas is second in the golden boot race at the regional championship tournament.

The next wave of talent from the region looks just as good and just as deep. Mia Harrison is the next in line among a talented bunch of siblings. Her oldest sister Nya plays for Stanford. Her older sister Ava is a member of the U.S. U15 Girls National Team.

[player_tooltip player_id="20055" first="Peyton" last="Marinos"] is a player to know from the roster. She is one of the top talents in the country in this age group.

Audrey Heustis is a new name to the pool. She is following in the footsteps of Olivia Moultrie and the Thompson sisters in playing on a boys club soccer team. Heustis is also playing up some age groups for her club team. She is a center midfielder who has a good first touch and makes excellent decisions on the ball. She is a credit to the scouts in the area to get her into this environment.

Mia Corona is the lone player from the 2009 age group called up to play alongside the top 2008s. Corona has been playing for the Legends FC Boys 2008 ECNL team this season. She is part of the US Club Soccer id2 program. She is going to be one to watch for the future.

YNT Identification Center Roster - Girls 2008 - Los Angeles, CA

Ashley Aduke Knee (City SC), Grace Ae (LAFC SoCal Youth), Denisse Alvarez (LA Surf Soccer Club), Isabela Araujo (Beach FC), McKenna August (Legends FC), Josie Biehl (San Diego Surf), Jennah Black (Beach FC), Brianna Bogar (Beach FC), [player_tooltip player_id="19056" first="Amanda" last="Brayton"] (San Diego Surf), Pearl Cecil (San Diego Surf), Camarin Choi (Slammers FC HB Koge), Cayden Chowana-Bandhu (Eagles SC), Ireland Kenzie Churchill (Slammers FC HB Koge), Addie Clifton (West Coast FC), Mia Corona* (Legends FC), Kaleia Coughlin (City SC), Jenessa Da Silva (LA Surf), Ayla De Vore (City SC), [player_tooltip player_id="20296" first="Taylor" last="Esparza"] (Legends FC), [player_tooltip player_id="77911" first="Cora" last="Fry"] (Slammers FC HB Koge), Sarina Fuentes (LA Surf), Mia Harrison (San Diego Surf), Audrey Heustis (Magnus FC), Jaelynn Hillenbrand (Legends FC), [player_tooltip player_id="19137" first="Audrey" last="Howard"] (LA Breakers FC), Caelan Kenney (City SC), Kaya Kerndon (Beach FC), Madison Li (Del Mar Sharks), Cheyanne Longwell (Albion SC San Diego), [player_tooltip player_id="20055" first="Peyton" last="Marinos"] (So Cal Blues), Celeste Martinez (Legends FC), Ashley May (San Diego Surf), Hayley Millan (Albion SC), Abigail Nuez (Beach FC), Simone Puathasnanon (LAFC SoCal Youth), Jaiden Rodriguez (San Diego Surf), Corinne Rodriguez (LA Surf), Citlalli Ruiz (Unattached), Nola Sherrod (Beach FC)

2009
