The Georgia class of 2024 rankings were released recently on PrepSoccer. This initial list is a culmination of scouts feedback from the recent club season as well as the high school season. Georgia offers a rich soccer culture and hosts some of the top clubs in the various leagues in the country.

The talent from the state is always in high demand among the top college programs. With a new coach in charge at the University of Georgia, the expectation is that more of the local talent will be staying home in the near future.
On June 15, the recruitment of the class of 2024 is expected to amp up as college coaches are permitted to initiate contact with players from that class. Georgia, arguably, has the most anticipated commitment to watch from the 2024 class (in any sport).

Jackson was recently named the Concacaf U17 Championship Golden Ball Winner, an award given to the best player at the event. She is a defensive midfielder who has played up an age group or two throughout her youth career, which means she is already playing against players who made verbal commitments to major Division I programs and been playing in front of college coaches since she is 13 years old. She offers any school a day-one player at the No. 6 role. She is smart on the ball and a better playmaker than pretty much anyone else in that position as she has a knack for seeing passing windows between defenders that is incredibly rare in the youth game. She is the most obvious talent on the field in most situations, and she will be the name that most coaches want to build their class around because top players want to play on her team rather have to play against her.
Jackson's fanfare is well warranted, but she is not a lone star in the state. Coaches have been lining up to see the top players from Georgia for some time and phones will be busy on Wednesday.
[player_tooltip player_id="21757" first="Kara" last="Croone"] is a dynamic attacking talent that took the high school scene by storm this season. She scored 46 goals with 21 assists during her sophomore season while leading her team to a state championship. Croone had three goals and an assist in the championship game. She is electric on the field. She is a center forward who gets behind the defense in a variety of ways. She is capable of gliding past defenders on the dribble with her skill and feints. She is excellent at timing her runs to beat the offside trap. And she can just turn on the afterburners and Top Gun the defense to race past them for a long ball even when might be a step behind at the start. Croone's attributes are easy to translate to the next level. She's already a good finisher and will continue to develop that side of her game in the final two years of her youth career. The Concorde Fire Platinum standout was the ECNL Southeast Conference Player of the Year in the U15 age group last season. She's backed up that award with her play this season, and would be one of the first players I'd call on Wednesday.
[player_tooltip player_id="21484" first="Kate" last="Jannetta"] is one of the top players from the Girls Academy League. She plays for Tophat at the club level and St. Pius X Catholic for her high school. She is an attacking midfielder with an eye toward the goal. Jannetta likes to take shots from just outside of the 18-yard box. She is good at finding pockets of space in that area and has a quick trigger with her right foot. She can put in a tackle when needed, which suggests she could be a No. 8 as well as No. 10 for the next level. Jannetta's potential as a midfielder is a major reason college coaches should be interested in locking her verbal commitment early on in the process.

[player_tooltip player_id="21788" first="Kennadie" last="Marchand"] looks to be the main goalkeeper for college coaches to know from Georgia from the 2024 class. Marchand is tough as they come. Want a goalkeeper who will throw her body on the ball to stop a shot? Want a goalkeeper who will fearlessly come off her line to stop a breakaway? Want a goalkeeper who will stick up for her teammates? Give Marchand a call on June 15. She's a top goalkeeper now, with the potential to really grow into the role in the coming years.
Atlanta Fire had a tough season in the ECNL, but the difficult competition also revealed some diamonds in the rough on that 05/U17 team. Midfielder [player_tooltip player_id="21880" first="Michelle" last="Moskau"] is one player that college coaches should be in contact with early on in the process. She earned a spot on the ECNL National Selection Game roster for the National Event in Tennessee. Moskau is a player who will thrive in a new environment. She seems to be at her best when her team dominates possession of the ball. She is very good in tight, technical aspects. She makes quick passes and adjust her passing angles to create windows for her teammates. Moskau is a 2024 worth inquiring from college coaches on Wednesday.
