Georgia programs sweep FAB 50 spring titles
The 2021-2022 high school season came to an end last weekend with the crowning of girls state champions in Michigan and Wisconsin.
While the results in those states helped shape the final Spring FAB 50 order, the No. 1 spots already were locked down — and it’s another Georgia sweep. Girls juggernaut Westminster Schools (Ga.) finishes atop the FAB 50 for the second straight year. Led by a powerhouse lineup that includes players committed to programs such as North Carolina, Virginia, Georgetown and Georgia, Westminster claimed its seventh straight state title.
Westminster’s confirmation at No. 1 couples with Harrison’s (Ga.) top billing on the boys rankings, giving Georgia a second straight FAB 50 title sweep. Last year, Dalton (Ga.) and Westminster (Ga.) girls finished No. 1.
The boys rankings have been long finalized as the boys season ends before the girls. Johnson (Ga.) finished No. 2, followed by Langley (Va.), Woodward Academy (Ga.) and Lassiter (Ga.).
In the girls rankings, Westminster Schools finished ahead of Colorado powers Grandview and Valor Christian with St. Thomas Aquinas (Kan.) at No. 4 and Briar Woods (Va.) at No. 5.
Check out the rankings links below, which includes capsules of the top programs to better understand that performances of those teams this season.
