Muskego
The Muskies have been one of the most consistently successful programs all season. Adding sophomore phenom Anna Sikorski Anna Sikorski M Muskego (WI) | 2024 #94 Nation WI to the team has been exceptionally important to their success so far. GK Ella Kratochvil Ella Kratochvil GK Muskego (WI) | 2023 WI provides a tremendous amount of athleticism and experience in goal. She’s made her mark in almost every game this season. Pacific commit Haley Johnson Haley Johnson F WI has made a massive impact too, with double-digit scoring numbers on the year. Their only loss this season came to D3 favorite New Berlin Eisenhower. The Muskies have a bye in the opening round.
Brookfield East
The Spartans were unbeaten heading into last week, before a 4-0 loss at Brookfield Central spoiled an undefeated regular season. Seton Hall commit Abby Hall leads the way. She’s been exceptional all season and will surely contend for Player of the Year in Wisconsin. She has a very high motor and can make an impact on both ends of the field. She also displays great ball movement. Brookfield East is the No. 1 seed in its sectional, which is just ahead of DSHA.
Divine Savior-Holy Angels
DSHA lost a tight 1-0 game to Muskego two weeks ago. The game could have gone either way. Lots of players are contributing in their own ways this season. Senior Sofia Miranda leads the team with 10 goals. Junior Jane Martin Jane Martin F Divine Savior Holy Angels | 2023 WI provides a ton of value in the midfield, while junior Piper Dupies plays excellent on both ends. She has five goals and three assists this season. Keepers Kate Nonn and Daisy Johnson Daisy Johnson GK WI have been excellent in goal. Senior Ahnna Faust Ahnna Faust M WI is another player who has made heavy contributions. So far, 17 players have scored at least once in what has been a full team effort.
Waunakee
Waunakee is the top seed in its sectional and will look to make a lot of noise in the playoffs. Senior D/M Riley Miller has a very high IQ in the midfield. She was a unanimous all-conference first-team selection this season. The Badger Conference (Madison-area) champs also have several other players who make big plays. Alyssa Thomas Alyssa Thomas M Waunakee (WI) | 2024 WI is an exciting young sophomore to watch on this team. They’ll also be joined by outside back Ava Bryan, who committed to play for Loyola (IL) next fall. Junior F McKenna Nachreiner also makes excellent plays up top. She can score goals from many angles.
Kimberly
Kimberly is the only unbeaten team remaining in Division 1. But surprisingly, it is the No. 3 seed in its sectional behind DSHA and Brookfield East. Sophomore Emily McCarthy Emily McCarthy F Kimberly (WI) | 2024 WI has been sensational all season. So far, she has 25 goals and eight assists this year. Sophomore Abby Lom has 11 goals and 12 assists. Junior F Jenna Scholz and sophomore F Sarah Hanes also have double-digit scoring numbers on the year. Their only draws came against Neenah and Appleton North. This team has an extremely bright future.
