MLS Next's competition committee announced the rosters for the inaugural MLS Next All-Star Game present by Allstate, which will take place on August 10 in Blaine, Minnesota. The two teams (East and West) will face off with the match to be streamed live. Details on the stream and time of the game to be determined later.

The 45 players on the two rosters come from 28 of the 29 MLS academies as well as five non-MLS academies that compete in the MLS Next league. All players selected for the all-star teams were born in 2004 or sooner (U18), and competed in at least one of the MLS Next Showcase events during the 2021/2022 club season. Chicago Fire is the lone MLS academy without a player representative on the roster.

Houston Dynamo's [player_tooltip player_id='15805' first='Andre' last='Gitau'] is the youngest player on the all-star game roster (born in November 2006). He is one of 23 players on the West roster for the game. With a handful of professional players on the roster, there are only a pair of players with college commitments on the West squad. [player_tooltip player_id='7486' first='Drew' last='Murray'] (San Jose Earthquakes) and [player_tooltip player_id='7199' first='Bryan' last='Moyado'] (LAFC) are both verbal commits to UCLA for the class of 2023.

The East squad also features a number of professional players. New England Revolution's Jack Panayotou is a commit to Georgetown for 2022. PDA's Colin Griffith is a Maryland recruit for 2022. [player_tooltip player_id='13531' first='Diego' last='Rossi'] (New York City FC) is a verbal commit to Virginia for the class of 2023.
