When it comes to top players, it appears Coronado and Faith Lutheran have distanced themselves from the field with, perhaps, Bishop Gorman hanging around. The results in recent years have shown how much better these three teams have been compared to the rest of the Las Vegas scene. We're expecting more of the same this year as 12 players from those schools are listed between the Preseason 11 and the others to watch.

FORWARDS: All three forwards on the Preseason 11 were first-team All-Southern Nevada selections in 2021. Kicking off the group is Portland commit [player_tooltip player_id='55627' first='Xayla' last='Black']. She totaled 14 goals and eight assists last season for a title-winning team that had the luxury of a lot of goal scorers. This year, she might be asked to carry more of the offense. ... [player_tooltip player_id='23703' first='Andrea' last='Leyva'] of Faith Lutheran is an elite Class of 2024 prospect. Her high school season was cut short by injury but still, she managed nine goals and 10 assists in 13 matches. ... There are higher profile recruits but when it comes to pure numbers, [player_tooltip player_id='55626' first='Adryanna' last='Avena-Caraballo'] of Pahrump Valley will be a player to watch. As a junior, she netted 39 goals and added 21 assists in leading the team to a 3A state title.

She earned first-team All-Southern Nevada honors in 2021. ... [player_tooltip player_id='55624' first='Mia' last='Coe'] of Faith Lutheran was a second-team All-southern Nevada pick last year.
DEFENDERS: [player_tooltip player_id='23762' first='Olivia' last='Lester'] of Sierra Vista was a bright spot on a team that struggled last year. The Gonzaga commit wasn't a true defender as she pushed forward to help keep this team in matches. But she was listed on the roster as a defender, so she's the anchor of our preseason defense. ... Faith Lutheran's [player_tooltip player_id='23751' first='Lindley' last='Amick'] is one of the state's top Class of 2024 prospects. ... [player_tooltip player_id='33122' first='Daphne' last='Egelhoff'] is one of several NCAA Division I prospects in Coronado's lineup this fall. Last season she played a role in a defense that allowed 19 goals during a 20-1-2 campaign.

GOALKEEPER: [player_tooltip player_id='55623' first='Bryanna' last='Perry'] of Desert Oasis was a second-team All-Southern Nevada selection last year after helping the team to a 10-win season. The Southern Utah commit saved three of the four penalty kicks she faced last season.
