Fairdale and South Oldham would walk away as the champions of their division. There was talent across the board from each team. Here are several players who stood out among the rest during the event:
Kyle Kimberling, South Oldham
Kimberling is very essential for South Oldham. A skilled forward who creates solid opportunities on the field along with being aggressive on the ball. The senior delivered three assists during a 3-1 win over Henderson County. Kimberling is currently uncommitted.
Nouh Benaly Nouh Benaly F KY , South Oldham
Benaly had a successful performance. The sophomore midfielder walked away with three goals and one assist this weekend. Benaly is a team player and contributes a ton for South Oldham. Benaly is a strong attacking threat for South.
Biombele Kanzulu, Butler
The 5-foot-5 sophomore midfielder performed well for Butler. Kanzulu does a solid job of dropping back to defend as well as distrusting the ball during attacks. Kanzulu is very skilled in the midfield. Sharp as a knife.
Edvin Habibovic Edvin Habibovic M KY , Fairdale
Habibovic is key for Fairdale. Midfielder is very fast and has the ability to score from any position. The senior had one goal and one assist this weekend.
Serigne Diouf, Fairdale
The senior defender came away with one goal this weekend. Diouf is good in the air and is a force for the defensive side of Fairdale. Very fast and strong.
Braeden Myers-Curry, Henderson County
The forward controlled both of the games for Henderson County. A strong soccer IQ with a ton of speed up top. The senior scored a goal this past week.
Jabe Myers, Henderson County
Myers is a force in the defensive side for Henderson County. Quick and controls the game very well. Myers played a full game and came away with one goal.
Ephraim Bokoyo, Fern Creek
The junior midfielder came in clutch for Fern Creek this weekend. Bokoyo scored right away in the second half to give Fern Creek the lead over Greenwood after several missed opportunities. Very quick and full of energy.
Anibal Torrealba, Fern Creek
Torrealba is a very solid defender who keeps very good composure on the ball when he is under pressure. The junior is well composed and passes the ball extremely well.
Andy Alfaro, Greenwood
The junior forward walked away with one goal this weekend. Alfaro plays very skillfully and has the ability to turn the game around at any moment during the matchup.
Anthony Hercules, Greenwood
Hercules is young considering he is just a freshman. However, he is very key for the midfield of Greenwood. He plays with a lot of determination and is not scared on the field. Hercules scored a goal this weekend.
