Continue ReadingWrapping things up for our main high school previews for the spring 2023 high school, we are going to be looking at the private class. This class consists of most of the academy and private schools in Georgia that have and still are producing fantastic players and teams. Some schools not as well know or as large as within the larger class dvivsions but full of quality teams and players putting up impressive points.
(MF) Alli Jones, Strong Rock Christian HS 2023
Starting in midfield, All is an all-action midfielder who brings energy and end product to her team. Operating as a box-to-box central or attacking midfield, she can create opportunities for herself through powerful run-throughs in the midfield, combining with teammates, or excellent off-the-ball runs. Almost every game she is getting on the board with either goals or assists. With an impressive junior season of 14 goals and 13 assists, we’ll have her set to finish off strong in her final year.
(F) Alessia Sacchi, Paideia HS 2023
Alessia comes in as another dynamic forward who uses her fantastic athleticism combined with her ability on the ball to consistently put up goals for her team. An impressive 17 goals and 5 assists in her last season helped her team to a playoff run against some of the bigger private schools in the area. Multiple games with 2 goals or more and game-winning goals show that she’s always looking for chances and can be relied upon. Whether she’s receiving the ball at feet to create a shot or in behind her intelligence helps create high-quality chances.
(F,LW) Hayden Aliotta, Saint Vincents HS 2023
A modern-day winger/forward that any coach would love to have on their team. Hayden is not only lightning quick with the ball at her feet or running into space, but she is also a fantastic finished in front of goal which her 29 goals show. Often operating the left-hand side and cutting in or looking to combine with teammates. Her diet and aggressive play make it hard for the opposition defense to try to predict where she’s going and or when she’s going to shoot. Already coming off a great season and making a statement she will be carrying that moment into the next season.
(MF,D) Kate Crunkelton, Calvary Day HS 2023
Operating deeper in midfield and defense if needed, watching Kates’s game it’s clear to see that she is a player that is more than her stats. While finishing the season with 11 goals and 18 assists, she is the glue of the team and can dictate the tempo and control the flow of the game. Possessing a deadly set piece she is dangerous from anywhere inside her opponent’s half and always has an eye for her teammates. On the same side of the technical and finesse side of her game she is strong in the tack and has a great engine and gets all over the field. A creative source and leader for her team, she should be on coaches’ radars and is set to have another impressive final season.
(MF) Emma Martin Emma Martin M GA , Hebron Christian Academy 2023
Wrapping up, another attacking midfielder/forward Emma has certainly a name for herself over the past two seasons. A slightly unorthodox player a quite tall and physically imposing player which she uses to her advantage she is extremely well balanced and agile with the ball and always keeps it close to her feet, especially in tight spaces, and always seems to create angles for herself. Defenders often struggle to get the ball off her and she naturally draws defenders towards her which opens up space for teammates and allows her to go on powerful runs into the box which is shown by her 10 goals and assists. Her ability to finish inside the box and a quality shot from beyond the 18 allows her to hurt teams from almost anywhere.
