Indiana teams won all three varsity brackets at this annual girls high school showcase that brings together state-ranked teams from Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. Take away an 0-2 showing by Penn (Ind.), the five other Indiana teams went a combined 8-0-2 against their Kentucky and Ohio counterparts. The 2022 results were in stark contrast to 2021, where the Kentucky programs emerged as the best in the field.

Evansville Memorial (Ind.) 2, Sacred Heart (Ky.) 1: [player_tooltip player_id='22339' first='Kennedy' last='Neighbors'] had a goal and assist as Evansville Memorial defeated Sacred Heart in a game where the final score was a bit misleading. Memorial led 2-0 in the closing seconds before [player_tooltip player_id='22440' first='Aubrey' last='Nolan']'s rushed free kick eluded the Memorial keeper just as the clock expired. That was the lone bright spot this weekend for a Sacred Heart team that came into the event undefeated and ranked among the nation's top 25 teams. Memorial laid claim to the Group A title, ahead of Carmel (Ind.) with Rocky River (Ohio) and Sacred Heart in fourth.

Brebeuf Jesuit (Ind.) 1, Notre Dame Academy (Ky.) 0: [player_tooltip player_id='22388' first='Rowan' last='Pearl']'s free kick from 35 yards out slipped through the defense and past the keeper to give Brebeuf a 1-0 victory in a tightly contested match between state title contenders. The result gave Brebeuf the Group B title, finishing ahead of Notre Dame Academy with Brunswick (Ohio) in third and Penn (Ind.) in fourth. Sophia Payne recorded the shutout in goal and delivered a few key saves along the way. Pearl, who was selected as Group MVP, and Josie Skinner anchored a defense that did not allow a goal during the event, and right back Olivia Mulhern provided key minutes and cleared one ball off the line.

Zionsville (Ind.) 4, Assumption (Ky.) 1: Reese Nehlsen had a goal and one assist as Zionsville rolled to a victory over Assumption in a clash of undefeated teams. The result gave Zionsville the Group C title over Assumption with Cathedral (Ind.) in second, Assumption in third and DuPont Manual (Ky.) in fourth. [player_tooltip player_id='22334' first='Katie' last='Chadwick'], Meg Jacklin and Emma Hammelman contributed goals. Zionsville was the most offensively explosive team at the event, netting eight goals, with five different players finding the net.

Carmel (Ind.) 2, Rocky River (Ohio) 2: Sophia Sindelar and Ava Patti netted second-half goals as Rocky River rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit to tie heavily favored Carmel. The result was quite a surprise considering Rocky River, who dressed only 13 players for the match, had gone 150 minutes at the event without a goal – let alone two – before the second-half outburst. Carmel went up 2-0 on goals by Greta Heyl and [player_tooltip player_id='57128' first='Olivia' last='Cebalo'] in the first half.

Cathedral (Ind.) 3, DuPont Manual (Ind.) 1: [player_tooltip player_id='22255' first='Anna' last='Spellacy'], Eliza Langfeldt and Abby Beasley scored the goals as Cathedral defeated DuPont Manual to close out a 1-0-1 showing at the event. Giana Zambroni scored for Manual.

Brunswick (Ohio) 2, Penn (Ind.) 1: Kiley Deighton netted the game-winning goal with 27:31 left as Brunswick edged Penn. Brunswick took the lead on a goal by Brooke Allen. Penn responded with a goal by Tara Dauby before Deighton's winner.

Cathedral (Ind.) 2, Assumption (Ky.) 2: Both keepers made clutch saves in the closing minutes as Cathedral and Assumption settled on a draw in the first varsity match of the day. Abby Beasley and Emma Drewry scored for Cathedral. Olivia Haas and A.G. Gibson. scored for Assumption. Cathedral led until Gibson's goal with 30 minutes left in the match. Late in the game, Cathedral senior and Missouri-bound [player_tooltip player_id='22231' first='Kate' last='Phillips'] made a save on a shot headed for the upper right corner of the goal. Shortly after, Assumption's Hannah Hayden matched the feat by parrying away a high shot.

NDA scored twice in each half.

[player_tooltip player_id='22435' first='Amelia' last='Jones'] and [player_tooltip player_id='22453' first='Emerson' last='Jones'] scored goals to give Manual a 2-1 lead in the first half before Zionsville roared back.
