PrepSoccer Player of the Week Nominees (Sept. 27)
Rory Murry Rory Murry GK Auburn Riverside (WA) | 2024 WA , Auburn Riverside High School – Murry recorded her fourth shutout of the season in the win over Kennedy Catholic. Murry made some big time saves to secure the clean sheet performance. Auburn Riverside and Murry are vying for their fifth-straight 3A/4A NPSL League Title.
Mariela Delfin Mariela Delfin D Hewitt Trussville | 2025 #166 Nation AL , Alabama FC 07 ECNL – Delfin had a strong performance from her center back position enabling her team’s 1-0-1 weekend record. Mariela also scored two goals, one of which was a header from a corner kick.
Rylee McLanahan Rylee McLanahan M State #23 Nation TX , Solar SC 06 ECNL – McLanahan spurred on an epic comeback on Saturday as Solar trailed 0-4 at half to OK Energy. She scored three goals and added an assist in the second half. Solar went on to win the game 6-4. McLanahan added another goal on Sunday as she finished the weekend with four goals and two wins for Solar.
Cole Mrowka Cole Mrowka M Stevenson | 2024 IL , Columbus Crew U17 MLS Next – Mrowka scored three goals in Crew’s 4-0 win over Michigan Wolves over the weekend in MLS Next play.
Maxim Scordo Maxim Scordo F State #38 Nation CA , Strikers FC U16 MLS Next – Scordo scored two goals including the game-winner in Strikers’ 4-3 win over Los Angeles FC (LAFC) on Saturday.
Ashlyn Puerta Ashlyn Puerta M #14 Nation CA , Albion SC San Diego U17 Girls Academy – Puerta scored all three goals for her team in a 3-3 draw against Murrieta Soccer Academy on Saturday.
Jocelyn Thompson Jocelyn Thompson 5'7" | F Pueblo West | 2025 CO , Pueblo Rangers SC – Thompson scored a hat trick on Saturday for her Pueblo Rangers team against North Denver Rush.
