The sophomore class in the Peach State is full of promising prospects including top players in ECNL, Girls Academy League, and the U.S. Youth National Teams. The comparison between the classes is not entirely fair to the sophomore group, which is showing plenty of depth and promise as well. U.S. Youth National Team defender Kai Price Kai Price null | D Greater Atlanta Christian | 2025 State #4 Nation GA is the No. 1 player in Georgia for this first ranking. Price is an All-American in ECNL as well as the winner of countless other awards. Price is the player making the biggest impact at the highest level now, but there are a number of other players in this class with high ceiling as well.
The PrepSoccer rankings use the player’s club location for the state rankings. If you would like to learn more about the ranking process, check out this page. Below is a scouting breakdown of a few of the players in the state rankings for Georgia for the class of 2025.
Bella Grace “BG” Dunn is the No. 1 goalkeeper in the state for the class of 2025. She is fearless in goal and tough as nails. She will snag a cross in traffic, secure possession of the ball, get knocked to the ground, and still bounce right back up to kick off the counter-attack for her side. She is a good shot-stopper with excellent technique. Dunn has been a standout for GSA and earned an ECNL All-Conference First Team selection for her play last year. She will be the focal point of GSA’s success this season as well in the competitive Southeast Conference.
Sophia Martelli Sophia Martelli 5’9″ | F Buford | 2025 State #79 Nation GA is a top forward from Georgia in the class of 2025. She is at her best on the wing when allowed to take players on with the ball at her feet. She is EXPLOSIVE in space and does well using both feet while dribbling. Martelli is a good finisher, and a solid option to hit in a driven cross. She has the size and pace to easily make the jump to the next level. Improving her first touch will take her game to the next level and make her nearly unstoppable in the club game.
Highlights
Sarah Houston Sarah Houston F Harrison | 2025 State #149 Nation GA is one of the top talents in the Girls Academy League in the 2025 class. She is an attacking talent who is excellent on the ball. She is a creative passer. She is a good finisher, but could improve in that aspect of her game for the next level. She is either a forward or an attacking midfielder for the next level. She offers a creative option as the attacking midfielder – brilliant passer, skillful on the ball, great vision. As a forward, she is strong on the ball, great at linking play, a dangerous option in 1v1 situations. It’s easy to see how her attributes could be utilized in either role moving forward.

Ashlyn Huie Ashlyn Huie F Lassiter | 2025 State #231 Nation GA is one of the players who is off to a red-hot start to kick off the club season. The dynamic forward came out of the gates who eyes on scoring goals and she has done just that – over and over again in the ECNL. She is a quick player who does not need much space to get off a shot. She is very good at taking her first touch into space. She has a quick first step and bets on herself in most footraces (it’s a smart bet). She is a good finisher and looks to be improving that side of her game based on the first few games of the ECNL season. Huie is a player to watch this season as she could quickly jump up the rankings.
