Over the past few days, we’ve taken a closer look at some of the players in the rankings. Below is a breakdown of the players who are ranked between 35 and 70 in the national rankings, which includes Jocelyn Travers (pictured in the main image).
Johnston is a terrific talent from Oklahoma and one of the top players in the country in her position. She has been out-of-this-world good in the ECNL through the first couple months of the season. Johnston has 15 goals in the first 10 games of the season. She has scored a goal in every game this season. She is showing that she can do it against the best players in the country. Johnston will be one to watch this club season as she could quickly climb the rankings heading toward the next update in the Spring.
Vest is a top attacking talent. She is an option to play in any spot in the attacking trio and has enough quality on the ball as a playmaker to fill in as an attacking midfielder. Vest is a long-striding player who will race away from the defense on long balls. She is surprisingly adept with either foot, it looks like she has a preference for her right on long shots from outside of the box but she is definitely a comfortable finisher with her left. The quality with her left foot makes her one of the top options for scouts at left wing from the class of 2025.
The most accurate description of Tatum Borman Tatum Borman null | F Scott County | 2025 State #64 Nation OH is that she creates the extraordinary out of nothing. She is a player that the opposition has to mark for every second of the game because those moments when other players turn off, she turns into the punisher. She is a center forward who is extremely difficult to knock off the ball. Her great ball control and strength give her an edge in duels and make life tough especially on center backs who lack lateral quickness. She can play on an island because she does well in hold-up play with defenders on her back. Her rapid movement to spin off players and face up toward goal is at a different level than most prospects at the youth level. There is reason to believe Borman has the potential at an international level.
Fox is a player with big-time pedigree. She has been in the US Youth National Team program. She plays for one of the top clubs in the Northwest in Crossfire Premier. She was part of the ECNL National Training Camp in July. There is plenty on her player profile to catch the eye of scouts. She has backed up those accolades with her play at the high school level this season. The sophomore is a weapon in aerial duels at the high school level. For her club team, she is an outside back who is an every-minute type of player. She is good on the ball, but her strength is 1v1 defensively. She has the pace to keep up with any forward. She does well in duels using her long legs to poke the ball away from attackers. She is going to be a highly sought-after defender for college teams from the 2025 class. She was named to the ECNL All-Conference First Team for 2021/2022. The Crossfire 07 team has some top prospects from the 2026 class as well.
Ring is a versatile player who projects as a center midfielder at the next level. Her ability to play a few positions makes her an exciting prospect from the class. She has played as a forward, which showcased her ball skills and quick feet. She played as a midfielder, which showcased her passing ability. She played as a defensive midfielder, which highlighted her tackling and vision. With her high-level of soccer intelligence, it’s easy to envision her as a key player at the next level.
Stendera is a center back for PacNW. She is the leader of her side and does a good job in setting the line for her back four. Her club team likes to build out of the back, which puts a lot of stress on the center backs in possession. Stendera needs to improve her decision-making process for the next level. Crossfire Premier’s pressure gave her some problems last season. She has the potential to vastly exceed that level though. She has good ball skills. Can pick out passes with either foot. She is a strong defender and does well in getting into the right spots for support. I think she is slightly better as a right center back, which could be her projected position for the future. But she does offer the possibility to fill into any spot in the back four. When her team is on the front foot, she does well at stepping into passing lanes and exploiting the opposition in transition. She showed good instincts with key passes during the transitional phase of the game last season. She will be in the spotlight this season as PacNW added some key pieces to the roster to challenge for top in the conference.
