Charlie Rosenthal Charlie Rosenthal F State #40 Nation CA is a player from California that is quickly rising up the rankings. After a strong campaign last season with the LAFC U15 team, he is one of the few 07s to earn a spot on the U17 team this season and he is consistently starting in MLS Next play. He has shown this season that he can handle going against older, bigger defenders. He has quick feet and good instincts on where to be to get on the end of crosses. He is one of the better finishers from the winger position in this class. Rosenthal looks to be one of the top prospects from LAFC at this point.
Glover is a center forward with Youth National Team pedigree who is already getting looks at the professional level. He is an easy player to love because he works hard and does not quit on a play. There are some elements to his game that are similar to US Men’s National Team forward Josh Sargent. Glover has big-time potential and showed that at the international level earlier this year. He has continued on that trajectory domestically with his appearances for the first team at his club. He will be one to watch this season as he continues to make an impression at the club level with some spectacular goals.
Gozo is another player who was a standout last season at the U15 level in MLS Next and has made the jump up to the U17 level this year. Gozo is a winger who is selfish in the best way. He is a good finisher and looks for that option first. He has excellent ball-striking technique. From the past season, he shown a high-level tactical understanding of his winger position and exploited space he created with his movement off the ball. Gozo is at an academy that promotes youth players quickly so he might not be on this list for long as he could be the next target for a professional contract from RSL.
Santos was a darling of the MLS GA Cup in April. He led his Portland Timbers side to the championship. It was not a flash in the pan performance. He plays a forward role – center forward – but he is not a traditional bruiser in that spot. He is a right-footed playmaker who is a confident on the play and plays with that swagger. He does not shy away from dribbling through defenders. Santos’ found a lot of success during the 2022 season, and earned the spot as one of the best forwards in the 2025 class.
Veillard is a winger who can take over a game at any moment. He is electric on the ball and has a rare ability to shift quickly while dribbling at full-speed. Many defenders have had trouble trying to stop Veillard in space at the MLS Next level. He is a target for a player to move up a level in the near future for his club. He has the speed, skill, and mentality to make that leap. He is one of the best wingers in this class.
