Samantha Aronson
Samantha Aronson
Aronson has committed to playing college soccer next season at Boston University. The speedy forward is coming off of a tremendous season for her high school Stone Ridge, helping the private school claim the Independent School League title. At both Stone Ridge and with her club side Bethesda she always moving around the pitch, looking for that one break in the defense to exploit. An excellent goalscorer that can also whip in a deadly cross distance, she should provide the Terriers with some immediate attacking talent next season.
White has verbally committed to playing college soccer in 2024 at James Madison University. A member of the Virginia Development Academy side that has won four ECNL Mid-Atlantic titles, White brings to the Dukes excellent leadership experience at some of the highest levels in girls soccer. At VDA, she was a member of the 2020-2021 ECNL All Mid-Atlantic First team and the ECNL National ID Camp. On the pitch, she is a relentless striker using her speed and pace to constantly apply pressure to defenses. Particularly on the counter-attack, she makes excellent diagonal runs and can hit her shots with both speed and accuracy.
Bradshaw has committed to playing college soccer next season at Trevecca University. A preseason PrepSoccer All-Metro honorable mention, Bradshaw led her high school side McDonough Rams to a Maryland 2A Quarterfinal appearance. Whether it is through her precise passes or her expert dribbling she likes to direct her team’s work on the attack. That she can make that transition quickly, especially on the counterattack, makes her a very strong addition for Trevecca.
Alison Halstead
Alison Halstead
Halstead has committed to playing college soccer next season at Stevenson University. A lockdown defender, Halstead was one of the key pieces in Calvert High School’s run through the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference over the past four seasons. She is excellent at reading defenses and making timely tackles or clears. She has also shown a knack for going on the attack when necessary, including an excellent goal to clinch the SMAC title over Huntingtown. Her consistency along the backline and leadership have also helped a new Rush program make inroads in development in one of the major soccer hotbeds in the region.
Abby Noftsier
Abby Noftsier
Noftsier has committed to playing college soccer next season at Frostburg State University. Alongside Halstead, Noftsier has led not just the Calvert backline to success but also her club side Southern Maryland Rush. At center-back, she can make timely clears and help start the attack with consistent passes into the midfield. She can also box out forwards making runs on the counter-attack creating enough separation between the player and the ball. Much like with Halstead, she is also an asset on set pieces using her height and vertical leap to create attacking chances.
Gemma Tamburi
Gemma Tamburi
Tamburri has committed to playing college soccer next season at St. Francis College. A member of the Washington Catholic All-Conference Second team 2021, Gamburri is one of the top strikers out of Southern Maryland. The 5’5″ forward led St. Mary’s Ryken in goals this season and has been a member of the National Rush Select program since 2018. Up top, she likes to create her own chances and has a strong right foot that can hit shots from distance.
Campbell has verbally committed to playing college soccer in 2024 at the College of William and Mary. The 2024 graduate plays primarily in the defensive midfield, using her expert tackling and passing skills to help on both defense and in the attack. She makes solid runs in the middle of the pitch and can distribute precise passes into tight spaces for her teammates. Off of the ball, she always seems to find space on the outside which helps open up defenses in the middle.
Izzy Cobos
Izzy Cobos
Cobos has verbally committed to playing college soccer in 2024 at Virginia Commonwealth University. A left-footed forward that can also play in the attacking midfield, Cobos brings to VCU a an electric style of play that will immediately play dividends on the attack. Her first touch off of long crosses and passes is always on point and coupled with her speed, makes her a nightmare for defenses to deal with. She also has excellent vision and can pick out her teammates with clever crosses into the box as well as rip shots from distance.
Wiese has committed to playing college soccer next season at Georgetown University. The Whitman High School/Virginia Union midfielder/ defender has made a name for herself over the last few years with precise tackles and excellent distribution from the back. With Whitman, she plays a little bit more up, which has helped the younger side reach the Maryland State 4A Championship. At Union, she plays more along the backline and has helped the ECNL Mid-Atlantic side stay in the thick of the 2004/2005 table. Her passing will fit in perfectly with the Hoyas, who just recently won the 2022 Big East title.
Gwen Ladd
Gwen Ladd
Ladd has committed to playing college soccer next season at Morehead State University. The Oakdale High School senior led the Bears to the Maryland 4A State Semifinals with her superb striking ability and work on the counter-attack. She can create spaces between defenders on the run and can either deliver quality shots on target or passes into open teammates. The Armour is also unafraid to take a chance from distance and will help the Eagles in the attacking third in the fall.
