The PrepSoccer Player of the Week is a weekly awarded recognizing standout contributions in club and high school soccer. The winner from last week’s poll was Mary Long Mary Long null | F Shawnee Mission East | 2024 #31 Nation MO , who had a terrific performance from KC Athletics 04/05.
This week’s nominees include some standouts from ECNL, MLS Next, and high school state soccer championship games. Check out the nominees below and then vote in the poll at the bottom of the page. The poll will close early on Thursday.
PrepSoccer Player of the Week Nominees:
Kamiya Beck, Solar SC 08 – Beck scored both goals in the 2-1 win over Dallas Texans. Kamdyn Fuller Kamdyn Fuller M Southlake Carroll | 2026 State #32 Nation TX , Zoe Miles, Nina Dukette Nina Dukette 5'6" | D Timber Creek | 2026 State TX , and Rhiannon Mahon Rhiannon Mahon 5'10" | D Prosper | 2026 State #33 Nation TX were also standouts for Solar in the victory.
Capriel Winder, La Roca 06 – Winder scored two goals on Saturday in the come-from-behind win over Colorado Rapids. She added an assist on Sunday in the 2-0 win over Real Colorado National. Faith Nydegger, Lucy Kessler, Kyleigh Hastings and the defense of Bella Sackett, Kaitlin Dean, Reese Carmody, Hannah Kallias, Molly Mascardo, and goalkeeper Kate Ockene were also standouts for La Roca.
Kevin Contreras, Sockers FC 06 – Contreras scored two goals in the win over Michigan Hawks over the weekend.
Richie Monath, Calvert Hall – Monath scored the game-winning goal in double overtime in the MIAA State Championship against John Carroll. Ryan Balal also scored Calvert Hall.
Ethan Turner, Maize South – Turner scored the late game-winner against St. Thomas Aquinas in the state semifinal on Friday. Maize South went on to win the Kansas 5A State Championship against Blue Valley Southwest on Saturday and complete a perfect 21-0 campaign.
Nico Pendleton Nico Pendleton M Mill Valley | 2023 #94 Nation KS , Mill Valley – Pendleton scored the game-winning goal in the state 6A semifinal and the Kansas State championship game.
