There has been some movement in the rankings with this update, which includes dozens of new players as well as a couple of players dropping out of the rankings. Goalkeepers Curtis Lynch and Duran Ferree Duran Ferree GK CA are no longer part of the rankings. Lynch left Sacramento Republic and joined FC Dallas in the off season. Ferree signed a professional contract with SD Loyal – he is listed in the watch list. The state rankings include players with college eligibility remaining.

Morales is one of the top prospects from the Boys ECNL in this region. He is a midfielder who impressed during the ECNL National Event in Arizona. He was part of the National Selection Game, as one of the youngest players in the event. He is a quick thinker, which allows him to stay a step ahead of his opponent. Morales is a key part of the Legends 06 midfield that is in first place in their division.
The Strikers outside back was outstanding during the MLS Next event in Indio in December. He did well against wingers and showed great instincts for winning the battle when isolated against attackers that liked to dribble. Insouvanh was consistently strong in the tackle, and he made good decision while in possession of the ball. The well-rounded game stood out from the Strikers 07 squad.
Wolf was one of the bright spots of the Santa Barbara SC 07 MLS Next team from game film. He is a center midfielder who likes to control the pace of the game. He is comfortable on the ball and can play in tight spaces. He is a top prospect to watch from the 805 in the 2025 class.
Oppenheim is a player that has really come into his own this season. He is playing with quite a bit of confidence on the field. The De Anza Force prospect is not the biggest player on the pitch, but he often has the largest impact on the result of the game. Oppenheim is a hard-working center forward. The emphasis on working. There are many moments in a game when Oppenheim could relax but he presses in every situation and makes life tough on the opposition. Teammates love playing with him because he puts in that shift that everyone wants from the center forward. He’s surprising difficult to knock off the ball. He uses his body really well in shielding and keeps close control of the ball. He is excellent in his movement off the ball and knows how to create space even when man-marked. He is right-footed but capable of finishing with either foot. Oppenheim is a player that could be very high in these rankings in the next update.

Cameron Doucette Cameron Doucette M State CA is an attacking midfielder who is capable of opening up the opposition with his passing. He has a way of manipulating the defense with his passing and movement that is rare for a player of his age. He makes a number of subtle moves on the field that don’t stand out from film, but they’re obvious in person, which really make him one of the trickiest players to defend in California. His combination of skill and vision make him one of the midfielders that all scouts should know in this class.
