Daniel Bollman
Daniel Bollman
Bollman had a phenomenal junior season at Gonzaga, netting 14 goals for the Bulldogs. His ability to exploit the smallest of spaces within a defense paid immediate for the Washington D.C. private. Thanks to his goal-scoring prowess and leadership, Gonzaga won the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference title and the Washington D.C. State Atheltic Association title. He was also named as the Washington Post’s All-Met Player of the Year and was a member of the WCAC All-Conference team.
Dominic Good
Dominic Good
Good helped lead the Chargers to the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference title and to a Maryland State 2A Semifinal appearance. The senior striker scored six goals across all competitions in 2022, including a huge goal to defeat Century and book their spot in the State Semifinals. He possesses break neck speed and can make highly precise first touches off of long crosses and difficult passes, a skill that many players his age are still learning to develop. Although SMAC will be very difficult next season, Lackey are expected to be at the top of the standings, with Good playing a critical role in their success.
Jake Del Viscio
Jake Del Viscio
Towson pulled off one of the shock results of the Maryland 3A Regional Tournament by defeating number one ranked Bel Air 2-1 thanks to a brace from Del Viscio. This wasn’t the first time that the junior forward had put on his Superman cape to save his team as he scored multiple key goals throughout the season playing a huge role in their 3A State Semifinal run. He was excellent with both short and long distance shots and was always willing to do the dirty work off rebounds and deflections. He was named to the Baltimore Sun All-Metro Honorable Mention team as well as the MACS All-State First Team.
Brogan Eastlack
Brogan Eastlack
Eastlack is a tough, grinding forward that likes to directly go at defenders and create chances for his teammates. The Stephen Decatur forward scored 18 goals last season, earning All-Bayside honors for the Eastern Shore side. He is a holding forward that likes to take on multiple defenders and find his teammates in open space. Eastlack is an interesting case in that he also is the kicker for his high school football team, which further shows his toughness. On the pitch, he was named to the MACS All-State Second Team.
Joshua Petty
Joshua Petty
Petty’s nose for goal pushed Loyola Blakefield to the MIAA A Championship game and an 18-3-2 record on the season. He scored 20 goals and tallied 18 assists for the Dons in 2022, including a brilliant strike to help the side make the MIAA finals 1-0. BRAUSA is one of the top club sides in Maryland in the 2024 age group so he will have plenty of opportunities to bag more goals State Cup and US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Action.
Jordy Profeta
Jordy Profeta
Profeta had a monster season for Good Counsel in the Washington County Athletic Conference, scoring 14 goals and tallying 4 assists for the Falcons. His work off of the ball always keeps defenses guessing, forcing multiple defenders to cover him and ultimately leading his teammates with opportunities at goal. It was his goal in overtime earlier in the season against rivals Sherwood that helped set the tone for the remainder of the season. For his efforts during the season, he was named to the WCAC All-First Team and is currently playing his club soccer with Potomac Soccer in the U.S. Youth Soccer National League.
James Knowlton
James Knowlton
Knowlton scored nine goals and tallied two assists during the Central Maryland Conference regular season for Urbana, guiding the side to a 10-4 record. He makes excellent diagonal runs at goal and can often space defenders with relative ease. Furthermore, he possesses a clever left foot that can hit shots with force from distance but also can get past defenders with low curling efforts. Urbana made it to the 4A State Semifinals where they ran into a buzzsaw in Bowie, but with Knowlton back after having earned considerable minutes with Alliance in the National League they should be primed for another effort at States.
