Below is a handful of players that have impressed recently from New Jersey club teams.
Highlights
rnForward – Surprisingly strong on the ball. Does an excellent job in the hold up play, uses his body really well to shield and then feel for when he can turn on goal. Keeps close control of the ball when under pressure. Has the ball skill to dribble through players when given space. Looks like an efficient finisher.

Midfielder/Winger/Forward – Fluid athlete. Really could play any position on the field. He will make lung-busting runs in the midfield. Can take on players on the dribble from the wing. Physical on the ball defender.
Midfielder – Uniquely skilled player in the final third. One of the more creative and dangerous players in his position in the country. Can break down a defense with his passing or on the dribble.
Highlights
Midfielder – Defensive midfielder. Impressive showing at the MLS Next event in December. Influential player. Dictated where the game was played. He shutdown the opposition playing through the center. Made quick decisions on the ball and found outlets with accurate passes.
Mellen was a late addition to the rankings so he’s on the watch list for now, but he was outstanding during the MLS Next event in December. With three goals and three assists in three games, Mellen announced his spot as a top forward in this class. He showed impressive vision and skill in the final third with his production in Indio, California.
Najdzinowicz is another late addition to the rankings and currently sits on the watch list. He impressed with his distribution from the goalkeeper position. He is an excellent passer and capable/willing to use either foot when played to that foot. He is also quick off his line and did well in shutting down breakaways. He has a good technical foundation and moves his feet well to set a base before making the save. Najdzinowicz is one to watch this Spring.
