Girls players in the North Coast Section continue to make names for themselves as there were standout performances from all over, many from players whose names have been ringing loudly for quite some time. Seven girls recently stood out and continue to be some of the best in Northern California.

Addie Bailey, Acalanes, Senior, Forward

Bailey is a strong, physical and fast striker with excellent touch. She has improved as a finisher throughout the season and it shows. She recently had three goals in two matches, including two game-winning goals and has now scored six goals in league play.

[player_tooltip player_id='54217' first='Sloane' last='Carey'], Marin Catholic, Sophomore, Midfielder

Carey is known for her soccer IQ and her technical ability. She is a physical midfielder, she makes strong challenges and is a ball-winner. She scored on free kick against Tamalpais recently, and then scored two goals in a 4-0 win over San Marin.

Clea Jimenez-Donovan, San Rafael, Junior, Midfielder

Jimenez-Donovan can play anywhere in the midfield as she is a stand out as a holding mid or an attacking mid. She's a very hard-worker, always out on the pitch improving her craft. She's a two-year captain, earning it because she works hard, and because on the pitch she is strong, physical and aggressive. She is not afraid of contact, constantly winning balls in the air. She has good pace, she's excellent with set pieces, on both sides of the pitch. She is great about taking people 1v1 and is a good finisher in front of the goal. She is ultra-competitive and is willing to do what it takes to make her mark on the match. She had a great match against Terra Linda, knocking in the first PK to set the tone and then stepping in as the keeper and saving two PK's. She scored the game-winner against Novato last weekend, giving the Bulldogs a much-deserved and hard-earned win.

Photo: Ella Emison

[player_tooltip player_id='51787' first='Maren' last='Jones'], Tamalpais, Junior, Attacking Midfielder.

Jones, a standout as a junior for Tam as well as a standout for the Marin FC 06 Blue ECNL team, is a true student-athlete and a student of the game. She boasts a perfect GPA and she has a desire to learn and improve as a player as well. She was second-team MCAL last season and has been better this year. She can score with both feet, but she is just as good with setting up her teammates. She is very agile and moves well laterally. She's hard to defend because she has license to move around. She will be a collegiate player as programs like UPenn and UC Davis are showing interest. She scored three goals last week, including a last-minute winner against Marin Catholic. Last night she scored the game-winner in a 2-1 victory over San Marin.

Audrey Le-Nguyen, Campolindo, Senior, Forward

Le-Nguyen is a speedy player, who has a great first touch, great vision and is very competitive. She is very clinical and lethal in front of goal. She has great size and strength and can hold up play when needed. She's also very dynamic and can play all over the pitch. She had a four-goal week recently, has six goals in league play including a match-winner over Alhambra.

[player_tooltip player_id='54231' first='Riley' last='Pearson'], Branson, Sophomore, Midfielder

Pearson is a dynamic midfielder. She plays her heart out, and defends like a central midfielder would, but gets going forward and into the box like a No. 10. She is constant movement and tons of effort. She is truly box-to-box. She's a great athlete and a ball-winner. She has been great lately to, scoring five goals and dishing out five assists in her last eight matches. She had two assists in a win over San Marin and then scored the game-winning goal in a big 1-0 win over Tamalpais.

[player_tooltip player_id='19075' first='Ananda' last='Walker'], College Park, Senior, Striker

Walker is a strong and physical No. 9. She is quick on the ball and puts a lot of pressure on back lines. She helped the Falcons to two pivotal wins recently over Las Lomas and Clayton Valley, scoring two goals and contributing two assists.
