There is a new number one team in the 757 as Kellam takes over the top spot after taking down Western Branch and First Colonial along with Cox’s loss to Princess Anne. Top 20 teams Menchville, Kecoughtan, Warwick, Tabb, Jamestown, Gloucester, and Bruton were all idle and start back up this week.

New No. 1 Kellam who was undermanned heading into the match were still able to squeak out a win over No. 13 First Colonial on Leo Fajardo’s game winner and a clean sheet from keeper Will Stanley.
Great Bridge was able to win the rematch of 2022’s region 4A final (a 1-0 Great Bridge victory) versus No. 17 Smithfield with an impressive performance which saw Niko Panayiotou, Cole Shuler, Cameron Todd, and Jack Ottley all finding the back of the net. Keeper Thomas Seymour saved a crucial penalty to keep momentum in favor of the Wildcats and was awarded the “Man of the Match” honor for his performance. The Wildcats move up a spot to No. 2 in the rankings.
No. 3 Landstown also jumps up following a hard-earned victory against No. 14 Ocean Lakes. After trailing at the half, Kamar Wilson knocked in a penalty kick in the 60th minute followed by a Jace McSwain header five minutes later to secure the win for the Eagles.
Hickory remains unbeaten at 5-0-1 after a nil-nil draw against No. 6 Princess Anne and a thrashing of district foe Kings Fork. Evan Rinkus paced the Hawks with a hat trick in the Kings Fork match while Keeper Andrew Hudak and the defense posted their fourth shutout in a row.
No. 6 Princess Anne makes the biggest jump this season all the way from number 14 after a scoreless draw against No. 5 Hickory and a 2-1 defeat of previously ranked No. 1 Cox. Austin Zou and Michal Korba provided the offense in the Cox match. Keeper Niko Santos has a goals against of less than 1.00 for the surging Cavaliers.
Cox falls from the number one spot after three weeks at the top of the 757 rankings after their 2-1 loss to No. 6 Princess Anne. Robbie Reynolds scored in the loss for the Falcons who check in at No. 7.
No. 10 Granby cracks the top 10 after their best performance of the year against Indian River (a 6-0 clean sheet) and a draw against rival Maury. Star sophomore Diddier Martinez scored the game tying goal in the Maury match off of a corner where he made a sneaky near post run and headed it home in the 50th minute. Against Indian River, Martinez slammed home four goals and Davis Mann scored a brace.
First Colonial dropped their only match of the week, a 1-0 setback against No. 1 Kellam. The Patriots drop three spots to No. 13
No. 14 Ocean Lakes had mixed results with a nil-nil draw against Grassfield and 2-1 loss to No. 3 Landstown. Jace Asercion provided the goal in the Landstown match.
Kempsville is quietly having a solid season and getting quality results. Their only two losses are against Great Bridge and Hickory who are both ranked in the top five. Curtis Old netted a hat trick and Cameron Lambert had two goals and two assists against Deep Creek while Logan Prendergast and Evan Parziale both knocked in braces in their Green Run match. The Chiefs move up a spot to No. 15.
No. 17 Smithfield suffered a loss in their only game this past week, a 4-1 setback to No. 2 Great Bridge. Gari Serna Alana scored for the Packers in the loss.
Indian River took a loss to No. 10 Granby but rebounded to beat Green Run and post a clean sheet. Isaiah Hylton and Caiden Bernstein both scored braces in the win.
No. 20 Bayside has a flare for the dramatic this season as all of their matches have been decided by two goals or less include two overtime games (one a loss to No. 4 Hickory). Ibrahim Diabagate and Brayden Barclay both scored for the Marlins in their only match this week a 2-0 win over Salem.
