With the new edition of the national rankings, there have been a number of additions to the rankings. Below is a scouting report on a handful of the new names to the top 75 of the rankings who were not in the past edition of this national list.
Padelski was the biggest miss on the first ranking for this class, and she showed why throughout the last season. The winger from Tennessee proved her quality on the club and international level. She is an attacking talent who is an outstanding two-way player. Her defensive work-rate really shines when compared to her peers. She doesn’t not take plays off. There is a reason every coach loves her. She is willing to work and be a leader. She celebrates her teammates success with the same joy she celebrates her own goals. Padelski wil have her choice of programs at the next level, and she is going to be an immediate contributor.
Pachan’s surging stock is coming at the perfect time as the recruiting period opens up next week for the 2025 class. My favorite part of Pachan’s past year is that she decided to start her highlight reel with a defensive play. She’s scored dozens of goals and equally as many assists, but what she wants to show scouts is how determined she is make winning plays. With quick feet, determination, and skill, Pachan has the tools to be a star at the next level.
Matthews is carving a new path for herself – a player from Texas that is playing club soccer in California. She was named the Co-Offensive MVP for Southlake Carroll. Matthews also starred with the US Youth National Team recently. She has made it clear on social media what she is looking for at the next level, which should help coaches with their sale’s pitch to one of the top players in this class.
The Jamaica U20 standout has had herself quite a season. At just 15 years old, she earned a starting spot with her national team for the Concacaf Championship. She plays as a No. 11 for Jamaica. She could be a winger or a wide midfielder at the next level. She is skillful and good with both feet. The Philadelphia Ukrainians star has also been one of the top players in the Girls Academy League this season. She is one of the players that is making an impact in the big games now and has a high ceiling for her potential.
Dessieux is an athletic shot-stopper who recently earned an invite to the US U17 Women’s National Team. Standing at 5-foot-10, Dessieux has the physical profile to step into a college net tomorrow and fit in. She is among the best goalkeepers in this class. Her best attributes are her athleticism, shot-stopping, confidence off her line, and distribution.
A fearless player, Martinez just wants to be on the field. It hardly matters what position she starts the game at, she is going to make an impact. With sharp tackling or cunning passes, Martinez offers an all-around game that makes her irreplaceable on the team sheet for her club team and showcases the type of quality (and competitiveness) she will bring to the next level.
Poretto is a standout center back from the ECNL level. She was highlighted earlier this season as an under-the-radar recruit that all scouts should be aware of heading into the 2022/2023 season. She backed up that acclaim with stout defensive performance after stout defensive performance against some of the top competition in the country. She really impressed with how she’s improved her ability in aerial duels. She is winning all of the headers for her side this season. She should be an early target for programs in need of a day-one ready defender.
Highlights
She’s a left back for her club team and she won Midfielder of the Year for her district for her high school, which should tell you plenty about the type of player Summer Chen Summer Chen M Coppell | 2025 State #75 Nation TX is on the soccer field. A tremendously skillful defender, Chen filled in for her high school in the midfield and ended up stealing the show. She is the type of player that coaches want on their team because she makes her teammates better – and makes winning plays. Chen is one of the best left backs in the class.
