MLS NEXT U-15 Best vs Best Standouts
FRISCO, Texas – The U-15 all-star game pitted the best from the East and the West on the featured field at Toyota Soccer Center. The players were selected by MLS Staff from the teams playing in the showcase event running parallel to the MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs. Each team had 22 players so each half saw a distinct 11 on the field. As always with all-star games it is less about the team performance and more focused on the individuals. With that being said, all the players showed an understanding of the rotations and movement required by their teams systems. A testament to the rising level of soccer intelligence in this country.
Playing as a number 8 for the East, Dominic was a constant on the ball in the first half. Comfortable receiving under pressure he played quick but in control. When moving forward he got in good position for cut back crosses and didn’t force shots that weren’t on. Creatively he picked out good passes and understood his role in the team.
Lining up on the left wing Prince Forfor Prince Forfor F IA looked dangerous in 1v1 situations with the ability to stop and go with a quick first step. He also did a good job of getting in good shooting positions from the wing and had the confidence to take the shot when it was presented to him.

Starting at Striker for the East, the IMG Academy product who will be playing with Orlando City next season scored the game’s opening goal. He showed good composure to round the keeper and bend it in from a tough angle near the end line. Outside of the goal he showed he could pull balls down from out of the air and control it at his feet.

Playing as an attacking mid for the West, Titus did well to pop up in-between the lines and receive and turn forward. Creatively he had good ideas in terms of the passes he played.

Playing for the West, Walker was an active presence as an 8 in the second half. He flashed his ability to finish from outside the box when he scored in the 54th minute. His shot had good technique and enough power so that the goalie couldn’t get enough on it to parry it over the bar.
