Below are some of the players that stood out from the winning teams on Friday.
Another stellar performance from Hardeman helped Solar to a victory in the quarterfinals of the ECNL Champions League playoffs. The right back is almost unassuming in her approach because nothing seems to trouble her, but that’s part of the brilliance of her game. She never seems to be out of control on the field. On Friday, she scored a great goal in the first half in the victory over World Class. It was a perfect example of how she is a weapon in the attack in an unconventional way for an outside back. She isn’t going to constantly fly down the touch line and try to hit in crosses, but rather look to be the finishing touch on chances. She timed her run with expert precision and linked up with Rylee McLanahan Rylee McLanahan M State #23 Nation TX ‘s assist on the tally. Defensively, Hardeman had a couple of key interceptions and stood up her mark when the winger tried to take her on on the dribble. Emerson Garcia Emerson Garcia null | D John H Guyer | 2025 State TX was outstanding for Solar as well. Molly Vapensky saved two penalty kicks in the game.
Verplancke scored a spectacular goal in the second half in the victory over OK Energy. The Oklahoma defense and goalkeeper were stopping everything and did an excellent job at setting the line for the offside trap so it was going to take something special to put one past them in the second half. Verplancke delivered with a great effort. Daphne Nakfoor had a couple of great saves in the shutout victory.
David was a constant threat on the wing. She was energetic and electric from the start for Legends. Her pace and skill was a nightmare for the DKSC defenders. Zoe Matthews Zoe Matthews null | F State #30 Nation CA scored a fabulous free kick goal in the second half.
The Sophia Sindelar and Tessa Knapp combination was lethal against PDA. The duo linked up for an excellent goal in the second half as Sindelar won possession of the ball with her hard pressing. Knapp made a good run off the ball and then finished the chance near post.
