While teams start to get their feet wet once again in the grind of the year-long campaign, there is still time to look back on the last season and reflect on some of the players who made a difference for their teams in those recent postseason events and even some who stood out from the high school campaign.
The Pennsylvania 2025 class is stacked. The PrepSoccer player rankings for the 2025 class can be viewed here. The group will be updated in the future. Below is a scouting report on a handful of players who caught the eyes of scouts in the past few months from their play at the high school or club level.
Boyce, the center back for Penn Fusion, was outstanding during the ECNL playoffs. She matched up well against the best forwards in the postseason and had a number of great performances. Physical in the tackle, confident on the ball, and vocal with her leadership, Boyce has all of the tools to be a stellar center back at the Division I level. She has played with Keystone FC in the UWS League 2 in the past so she already has the experience of playing against college talent.
Highlights
The goalkeeper had a strong season in the ECNL with FC Bucks. It looks like she is joining Philadelphia Ukrainians GA next season based on social media. The move shouldn’t matter much as she has plenty of tape out there for scouts to see the type of player she is. Surprisingly quick off her line, Lee-Torchiana is a more athletic goalkeeper than most in this class. Her athleticism shines on close efforts or broken plays in the box. She has good hands and does well in catching most shots. When she does push away, she gets the ball clear of danger. Lee-Torchiana is one to watch as she figures to have a big role with club and high school this season.
Highlights
Radosti is versatile enough to play outside back or center back. She sees the game with clarity and is great in possession of the ball. She never rushes passes and tends to find the right option for her side. The below highlight exemplifies the type of player that she is – her YouTube channel has plenty of other highlights including some that focus more on defensive technique. The decision-making in possession is her top trait in my opinion and a valuable skill to have for teams looking for defenders that care about keeping possession of the ball.
A versatile player for the Keystone FC squad, Davis has a lot of potential appeal to coaches from the next level. She is a player with an unrelenting work ethic. She is a constant threat against the defense as she never seems to tire and is always willing to make the run into the attack. Her effort shined at the US Youth Soccer Nationals as she contributed a number of goals and assists for her side as they advanced to the semifinals. Davis is listed as a forward, midfielder on her player profile. I think she has potential at outside back as well – given her willingness to make the long runs. She should be a player that really shines at ID camps in the near future.
Kaska impressed me with her play at defensive midfield. She was strong in the tackle and quick to make decisions. She had a standout season for Keystone FC. She can play as a defensive midfielder or as a box-to-box midfielder. She is great at showing for her teammates, playing quickly, and always thinking a step ahead so she is rarely caught in possession. Kasak has the player profile that should make for an impactful player at the next level.
Yurko was one of the standouts on the Pittsburgh Riverhounds 07 ECNL team that advanced to the North America Cup Championship game. The captain of the side plays as the left center back. She really stood out from the action for how she anticipates the play. She was always in the right spot, and better yet she was making the correct play to help her team win. She was a difficult defender to get past because she eliminated mistakes and played with confidence. When defending 1v1, she was physical and smart with her challenges. Her performance against Orlando City really stands out because she showed that she can handle the pace and skill of the forwards she is likely to face at the Division I level.
