F/M Charlie Heuer Charlie Heuer F #39 Nation IL – Chicago Fire Academy
The Indiana commit has been big for FC United over the past few years and recently signed with the Chicago Fire Academy. He’s a player with so much skill, poise, and creativity. Almost every time I’ve watched him, he shows me something I’ve never seen before from a kid his age. Can blow by you with ease and make you pay for it if he’s left open near the net. Wether its a pass or shot, here knows exactly where he wants to put the ball.
M Alvaro Alanis Alvaro Alanis M Marmion Academy | 2024 #151 Nation IL – Eclipse ECNL/Marmion Academy
Alanis has been a big player on both the high school and ECNL Levels. Alanis earned ECNL All-Conference recognition at the 16U level a year ago for his exceptional work in the midfield. His play also led Eclipse to a regional title this spring. I’m a big fan of his touch to go along with his speed in the open field. Alanis is so crafty with the ball that he can break your ankles like and NBA point guard. He’s capable of playing anywhere in the midfield too. Left, right, or center.
M Mactzil Lopez – Eclipse ECNL/Marmion Academy
An ECNL Conference Player of the Year and All-American in 2022, Mactzil Lopez has not been talked about enough for his play and the impact he brings to the field. He’s a big time playmaker who shows off excellent vision in space. He also has excellent speed both in the middle of the field and on the wings. Lopez hardly turns the ball over too.
GK Joseph Galante – Chicago Magic/DePaul Prep
My high school successor has been on a tear at both the club and school levels since arriving on the scene his freshman year. Already a three-time all-conference selection, Galante was voted Player of the Year last fall in the Chicago Catholic League and led the Rams to back-to-back regional titles, which was not accomplished during my four years there. This spring, Galante has shown excellent athleticism and shot stopping abilities in the ECNL to along with constant distributions with both his hands and feet. His play was enough to earn him a spot on the inaugural ECNL Midwest/Ohio Valley conference cup squad. He’s without a doubt at a higher level than when I was his age.
M Adam Reiniger Adam Reiniger null | M Collinsville (IL) | 2024 IL – St. Louis City/Collinsville
Reiniger was such a volatile presence in the offensive attack last high school season. His 26 goals last fall was one of the best among large-school teams in southern Illinois. This earned him an opportunity with St. Louis City FC this spring, where he continued to impress. Reiniger has limitless shooting range with a powerful shot. He does a nice job of creating space to further frustrate defenders while showing plenty of production in the open field. It will be interesting to see what he can do this fall.
