These six come from many areas of the state, which is proving to be one of the better ones in terms of girls soccer talent.
Riga Kallaba Riga Kallaba M Jones College Prep | 2026 State IL , Midfielder/Forward, Jones College Prep, Class of 2026
Kallaba is versatile and that is putting it lightly. She can play as a wide forward on either side and can also feature as a No. 10. One might think that because she is an attacking player, she would not thrive as a center mid, but she can play there as well. She thrives in the middle of the park because she is strategic. She also works hard and competes. Kallaba shows great skill and agility, allowing her to move forward quickly in the attack, but with the resilience of a midfielder. She likes to compete, she’s a team-first player and she is incredibly coachable. She plays high school at Jones College Prep and plays her club with Chicago Inter SC’s 07 ECNL team.
Rylann Law Rylann Law null | F Glenwood | 2025 State IL , Forward, Glenwood, Class of 2025
Law is a goal scorer, through and through. She plays striker for the most part, but can also play as a No. 7 or a No. 11. The junior attends Glenwood High in Chatham and plays club at SLSG Navy for the 2007 ECNL team. Law has a twin sister, Rowann, who also plays at the school and the club with her. Law is hard-working, whether it is in season or outside of it. She does not need help in being motivated as she has an intense desire to succeed. A coachable player, Law is also very fast, very athletic, shows great stamina and loves to compete.
Rowann Law Rowann Law M Glenwood | 2025 State IL , Forward/Outside Defender, Glenwood, Class of 2025
Law, the twin sister of Rylann, also plays in the attack as a No. 7, but is versatile as she can move to the other side and drop back into an outside left back position. Joining Rylann at Glenwood High and at SLSG Navy on the 2007 ECNL team, Law displays great athleticism, great energy and determination. She is a very competitive player who can be relied on to do what job needs to be done. She is persistent, never stops working and is a complete team player.
Addison Lockerby Addison Lockerby null | M State IL , Midfielder, Niles North, Class of 2025
Lockerby has the confidence to play anywhere on the pitch. Quite literally any position, but generally plays the midfield, either featuring as a No. 6 or a No. 8. Lockerby is a very athletic midfielder, one who can move forward or track back, going box-to-box. She is very determined, very resilient and very smart which is key for a player in the middle of the pitch. She is incredibly relentless, she is disciplined and because she is so coachable, she is dependable. She plays high school at Niles North and players club for the Chicago United FC’s 2007 GA team.
Olivia Paul, Defender, Sacred heart, Class of 2025
Paul can play anywhere on the back line, as either a center back or an outside back. She plays high school at Sacred Heart in Griffin, IL and plays club for Central Illinois United. Paul is a very skilled, strong and fast player. She is incredibly strategic on the pitch, a player that adapts to any situation. She always remains disciplined, and Paul is incredibly determined. She is a coachable, team-first player.
Basie Shannon, Central Defender/Defensive Midfielder, New Trier, Class of 2024
Shannon is the one senior from this group. She usually features as a center back, but can sometimes play as a holding mid. She plays high school at New Trier and is on the GA team with Chicago FC United. Shannon is a very athletic, highly competitive player. She is very strong in the air, but also very good in position. She displays a high soccer IQ and Shannon shows great qualities of a center back in that she is very vocal.
