Junior forward Maddie Smith Maddie Smith F Garnet Valley | 2025 State #117 Nation NJ scored a pretty goal off a long range strike in the second half off a well hit early ball forward into space from Kamryn Sarmento in the 52nd minute and the Jaguars defense did the rest of the work to keep the Aces off the board.
The loss was the first of the season for Lower Merion, which looked dangerous going forward throughout the match with ability to control the ball by Julie Casey Forman and Dylan Steinberg Dylan Steinberg 5'1" | F Lower Merion | 2026 State PA . Junior Carolyn Kelly and senior Kylee Gust also stood out on the day. The final ball just wasn’t there for the Aces and it too often turned into counter opportunities like the one that led to the goal. Lower Merion sophomore keeper Cate Cantu Cate Cantu GK State PA was the Aces player of the match, stepping up with a couple big saves to keep her side in it.
For Garnet Valley, junior midfielders Ella Bryan Ella Bryan F Garnet Valley | 2025 PA and Kylie Mulholland and first-year midfielder Taylor Bryan were both effective linking play in the midfield and Sarmento was a problem for Lower Merion.
