Girls to Watch in Illinois as Club Season Begins

Here’s a few names to look out for on the Illinois Club scene this fall.

F Abby Snowden – FC United 06 GA

Snowden loves to create chances for herself in the attacking third and has the size and skillset to do it. She excels at changing direction and can fire a shot from anywhere on the field. Capable of playing as a winger or forward. Uncommitted 2024 to look out for.

D Anabelle Egeland Anabelle Egeland D Adlai E Stevenson (Lincolnshire IL) | 2026 State IL – Eclipse SC 08 ECNL

She might not get as much attention as her older sister, Ellie, but she’s a super dangerous center back that made so many big plays against Raptors. She shows no fear going in for big tackles and wins almost every 1v1 battle in her area. Terrific lateral movement in the final third of the field that throws off attackers games.

F Addison Stanciak Addison Stanciak F Warren Township | 2025 IL – Eclipse SC 05/06 ECNL

Recently committed to St. Louis, Stanciak is a 2025 prospect that’s been at the top of her game. She displays excellent body control and even becomes a threat with her back turned to goal. She also excels making crosses as a winger and has a big burst in the open field. Midwest All-ECNL last season.

D Lindsey Ciss Lindsey Ciss D IL – FC United 06 GA

The Fairfield commit is another physical, strong defender in the 2024 class. She plays great with her feet and is super consistent with the long ball. Excellent awareness and technical abilities and is even capable of scoring.

GK Megan Holland Megan Holland null | GK Barrington | 2025 State IL – Rockford Raptors 07 ECNL

Holland continues to elevate her game. After a big high school season, she’s continued to hold her own on the ECNL Level. She makes big save after big save and is super confident off her line. Excellent communicator when I watched her in the HS state championships last June. Great overall athlete.

M Annie Fitzgerald Annie Fitzgerald M Benet | 2026 State IL – Evolution SC ECNL

A 2026 prospect to note out that’s been scoring recently at a high rate. She’s outstanding at creating space for herself and can fire from long range. Super quick off ball runs make it tough for defenders to keep track of her. Her touch around the ball is even better. Outstanding skill and a true game changer.

Ivana Vukas Ivana Vukas F Benet Academy - Varsity | 2026 State IL – Eclipse SC 08 ECNL

Vukas brought so much to the table against Rockford Raptors and scored twice that game. She’s lethal in the open space and brings so much energy to the game around her. Great touch around the ball.
