COLONIE, N.Y. – Woodstock Academy (Conn.) displayed the tempo and quality of a national prep boys soccer powerhouse Friday night and came away with a 2-1 victory over Ribeiro Moojen Pre-University School Gold (Canada) at the NXT LVL Soccer Invitational.
The three-day event features top prep school and residential academy programs and is played at Afrim’s Sports Park. The third annual NXT LVL Invitational had a soft opening Friday night with six matches.
The Woodstock-RMPUS clash was the featured match as undefeated Woodstock is guided by the coach who led South Kent School to six national Prep Top 10 titles and RMPUS is an elite program in Montreal. The Woodstock lineup is dominated by players who were part of South Kent’s 2022 national title who have since transferred schools.

Woodstock Academy (Conn.) 2, Ribeiro Moojen Pre-University School Gold (Canada) 1: David Lee assisted both goals in Woodstock’s victory. Richard Sarpong Richard Sarpong F Woodstock Academy | 2027 CT , a top 2027 prospect from Ghana, scored Woodstock’s first goal. Joe Ezzeddine scored for RMPUS to even the match just before halftime. Jude Essuman Jude Essuman F #145 Nation CT , a junior from Ghana, netted the game-winner early in the second half.
Combine Academy (N.C.) 1, Northwood School U19 (N.Y.) 0: Creighton commit Santi Marin scored in the first half and it was enough to carry Combine Academy to a victory.

scored twice as Hoosac School opened a 4-1 lead before settling on a 4-3 win. Lucas Leite and Manuel Angel Rico Leitao added goals for Hoosac. Diogo Silva, Vicente Charlin and Daniel Kankam scored for IHC.
South Kent School (Conn.) 2, Ribeiro Moojen Pre-University School Gold 1 (Canada) 0: Harry Scott and Pietro Greselle scored the goals to lead South Kent to a victory. Goalkeeper Anthony Fusay made two key saves to preserve the shutout.
