Some have already committed, some are looking to put the final touches on their recruiting resumes and others are getting theirs started. Regardless of where they are in the process, these seven players are incredibly talented and will be a lot of fun to watch this Fall.
Marley Hunter, Defender/Midfielder, Grant, Class of 2025
Hunter is a standout junior at Grant High and plays at Northwest Elite FC for the 2007 team. She is a versatile player who can play defender and midfielder. Hunter has been in the Oregon ODP pool, and is a very talented Futsal player, playing on the Rose City Select team. Not only does she have quick feet and tremendous ball skills, but Hunter also is very strong on the ball and is a tenacious defender. She is hard to beat and is excellent against the transition. Hunter will fight hard to gain possession, she holds herself very accountable and she can see the game developing in front of her. She can also distribute very well, making great decisions.
Kendall Johnson, Forward, Canby, Class of 2025
Johnson is a forward from Grant High in her junior season, and plays ECRL for NW Elite. She is a very technical and skilled player who thrives in possession. She has a very high soccer IQ, making it easy for her to see what is unfolding in front of her, regardless of the pace of the game. Johnson was the first 2025 girls player from Oregon to commit, giving her pledge to Montana State. She has also participated in ODP and has been invited to this year’s Regional Camp.
Paige Nakada Paige Nakada M #221 Nation OR , Outside Defender, Grant, Class of 2025
Grant has many talented players, and Nakada is one of them. She is an incredibly athletic outside defender from the Class of 2025 and plays her club with the 2007’s at the Portland Thorns Academy. She has been a part of the Oregon ODP team for nearly five years, and has been in the Western Region pool for the last three. She has been part of ECNL National training camps and was at a USYNT ID Camp in 2022. Nakada is an incredibly savvy player, who generally wows coaches and opponents with her savvy. She is a game-changing player, but one that shows humility and plays with grace. She is a phenomenal teammate, a driven competitor in addition to showing great compassion.
Lyla Perry, Keeper, Beaverton, Class of 2026
Perry is a keeper who received honorable mention in the Metro League awards last season and is returning to Beaverton High as just a sophomore. She plays her club for Westside Metros FC, for the 2008 Copa team. Someone with Oregon ODP pool and ODP Regional camp invites to her name, she earns it with her intelligent play and her coachability. Perry can make all the saves, commands between her posts and plays bravely.
Lola Pierce Lola Pierce M OR , Midfielder/Forward, Cleveland, Class of 2025
The Cleveland High junior is a versatile player, who features in the midfield and as a forward. She plays for the NW Elite ECNL 2006 team and used to play with the NW Elite Cascadia WPL U23 team. She has one ECNL Conference awards the last three years, was invited to the March 2022 USYNT ID Camp because she is a lethal attacking player. She has a rocket shot, which she can place almost anywhere and her skills and speed are very difficult to handle. She is a dynamic player who can threaten defenses with her creativity, her pace and technical abilities, and she plays with great passion.
Riley Unruh, Forward, Beaverton, Class of 2024
Unruh is a senior at Beaverton High and plays for United PDX, one of the top ECNL-RL teams in the Western Region. Unruh is a talented forward, one who displays many skills. She’s good on the ball, good making runs off the ball and operates well in space. She shows tremendous athleticism as she is a multi-sport athlete.
Kenley Whittaker Kenley Whittaker null | F Wilsonville (OR) | 2024 OR , Forward, Wilsonville, Class of 2024
The NW Elite FC player is a 2006 ECNL standout and is a senior for Wilsonville. She played in the National Selection game last winter in Houston, where she scored a goal. She is an absolute star player and is committed to play at Cal. Whittaker is a scoring machine and a striker that keepers dread facing. She is so quick and has a powerful shot that keepers often can’t handle even if they get a hand to it. She was a first-team All-State player last season, scoring 23 goals and also handing out eight assists. She also featured in the WPL playing for the NW Elite Cascadia U23 team.
