The PrepSoccer state rankings for Kansas and Missouri’s 2027 class were released this week. As part of the scouting process for that group, we saw a number of 2028s. While we don’t rank the 2028 class yet, we start putting players on the watch list for these groups. Below are the players from that class who were considered among the top players in the 2027 group.
Forge is the goalkeeper on the Kansas City Athletics 09 ECNL team. She made a ridiculous amount of saves against Solar. She was exceptional in breakaway situations. Forge has done well for her club and is the only goalkeeper on the roster for her team. She’s also earned opportunities to play up ages in the past. She is trusted by her coaches and teammates.
Guenther is a midfielder on the KC Athletics 09 ECNL team. Guenther is playing up an age group at the club level. She plays as a defensive midfielder for her club team. She has a good first touch and looks comfortable on the ball. All of the qualities are there for a top, top level player at her position.
Left back for KC Athletics 09 ECNL. She wears the captain’s armband for her club team. Also a decorated player in the US Futsal world. Really good outside back. Two-way player. Strong in the tackle and uses her body well. Offers quality on the ball in possession. Comfortable to play out of pressure and calm in handling the immediate wave of defenders. Been outstanding at the 09 age group. Had a stellar game against Solar.
Johnson is a winger on the SLSG Navy 09 ECNL team. She is a dynamic playmaker on the winger. She has the speed to get in behind the defense and the skill to blow past outside backs in 1v1 situations. Johnson looks like one of the best players from the 09 ECNL games.
Restovich is a forward on the SLSG Navy 09 ECNL. She is part of the US Youth National Team program. Her older sister Grace Restovich Grace Restovich M #10 Nation MO is one of the best players in the country in her age group. The younger one is another top prospect from the SLSG program. She is skillful and clever with a high soccer IQ. Restovich will be one in consideration for a top spot in the national rankings in this class.
We highlighted Evie Kincaid Evie Kincaid M MO last season when we wrote about the 2026 class for this area – as she was already jumping off game film while playing against players two years older than her. The talented midfielder has been excellent at the start of this campaign. She continues to impress scouts at every level. She has shown qualities to suggest she is on the pathway to being a key player at the international level for US Soccer.
