ECNL Ohio Valley Conference: Internationals SC G09 Preview

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Internationals SC G09 showed they have high standards and want to quickly attack from the moment the game begins. They displayed great ideas to keep possession of the ball. Although they had missed passes on occasion, Internationals SC did have the ability to build out from the back to start the attack. The most impressive part of their game is the midfielders. They all did their jobs defensively and offensively very well. The team had moments of reacting a bit slow after losing the ball, but they did show they can recover for each other without hesitation. Overall, they have great ideas of how to play the game with normal mistakes like most teams. Salgado showed she can be dangerous with her left foot and is consistent. She often finds the open player to help the team keep possession but can also take players on too. One other impressive ability Salgado showed is that she has excellent control of the ball. She displayed she can handle most passes that are played to her. Miller showed great decision making and willingness to break lines with her passing. She uses her height and strength well in challenges. Miller also displayed her ability to connect passes and move into spaces to be an option right away. She times her runs and opportunities well and she scored a goal from a corner. Every time she gets the ball, you can see she tries to find the open player as quickly as possible. Miller showcased she is smart with and without the ball. Also, delivered a great corner to assist Miller for a goal. Although she had moments of getting caught in one vs one situations, Alden does do a good job of putting everything into her challenges. Alden has a good habit of wanting to join in high with her teammates to be an outlet. She also has a good idea of when to hold back with the back line. She showed she can connect with wingers and midfielders from the back line well. She had missed touches here and there but overall did well to recover. One ability Chandler has is she can switch positions well in the flow of play. Chandler very rarely leaves gaps in the back line. She has good vision and understanding to take the place of a center back if the player decides to go for a challenge. Hradek puts in the work to press the back line when her team is out of possession. She constantly shows she wants the ball and doesn't want to miss opportunity in the attacking half. Hradek did display she won't give up on any pass played towards her. She is willing to try to make any pass her way work to get a goal. Hradek showed she uses her height and body well to keep the ball and only needs a half chance to challenge the keeper. She is also clever in knowing where she is on the field. She can connect passes to get the best opportunity for a team goal but also realizes well when she be get a chance at goal herself.
