The Pittsburgh Riverhounds showed at times they can create good possession-based attacks. The Riverhounds also showed they can play quickly in some opportunities. The substitutions did come in and keep the level of play moving forward. A number of players communicating and directing others throughout the match which showed leadership from different players across the field. The defenders did very well most of the match staying organized, connected and recovering for each other when necessary. The midfielder were able to manage their marks and cut passes out of possession. The team also showed they are willing to be creative in the attack. Overall, they had great ideas on both sides of the ball.

Antonia Linzoain Antonia Linzoain D Fox Chapel | 2027 State PA was the top player for Pittsburgh Riverhounds. She played as a center back, right back and a center midfielder. Linzoain played each position very well. She showed her strength, vision, passing ability and positioning throughout the match. She was able to read the game and position herself better than most on the field. Linzoain often checks her shoulder in and out of play which was very impressive. She was always tight to her mark making it difficult for the opponents. Overall, Linzoain showed the highest quality during the match.
Emma Marquis
Emma Marquis
Emma Marquis is another top player for Pittsburgh Riverhounds G09. She is constantly moving and everywhere on the field. Her work rate was unmatched, and she was box to box the entire game. Marquis also checks for the ball and showed her ability to pass well. She did a great job controlling the midfield during the match and was one player that was always around the play.
Delaney Vilushis plays as a center back and helped keep the team connected defensively. She had a few moments of needed to recover for others and did it well. Her positioning, marking and strength in challenges were very good. Although Vilushis had a few missed passes, she showed intention and good ideas. Overall, she did her job well and helped the Riverhounds secure the win in a hard-fought game.
Quinn Miller
Quinn Miller
Quinn Miller is one of the midfielders for Pittsburgh Riverhounds that played most of the game. She works well with Emma Marquis and they have very similar mentalities. Miller has the ability to play box to box and has intention with her movement on the field. Miller does a good job of identifying her mark and staying with the opponent. Her performance was very good and showed she does not shy away from challenges.

Aubrey Tabak Aubrey Tabak D PA
Aubrey Tabak Aubrey Tabak D PA also played as a center back and was one of the substitutes that entered the match in the first half. From the moment she stepped on the field, she was directing players and communicating. She made good decisions with the ball although having a few missed passes. Tabak used her height and strength to win challenges and performed well. Even as a substitute, she stepped into the back line and didn’t drop the level of play. Tabak had a good performance and showed her ability as a defender.
Elizabeth Davis
Elizabeth Davis
Elizabeth Davis plays as an attacker for the Riverhounds and brought different strengths to the attacking game when she was in the game. She has a willingness to put her body into every challenge and opportunity to go forward. Davis did have a few missed touches but was quick to try to win it back. She does cut passes well defensively and uses her height to advantage. Her confidence to attack was displayed and had good ideas to combine with other players.
